So I was in Meijer yesterday. And I just happened to be getting some cat food I stopped over by the fish tanks and notice how filthy they were this is uncalled for ridiculous how they going to put new fish in a dirty tank so dirty that kill the fish there was a worker that came up ask me if I needed any help I told her no I was just looking at all the dirty tanks and I couldn't believe how filthy they were this is totally uncalled for you walk into a store you want to buy some fish you literally have to turn around after seeing this you don't want to buy no fish at meijer's take my word for it this is proof I didn't alter nothing actually still has the conversation between me and the lady who came up to assist me if you listen close enough you can hear her say they literally don't have anyone to take care of these fish or to deal with the fish in general the one thing I noticed they even had red tail sharks in with other fish anybody knows having red tail sharks you should only have one per tank because they will end up killing each other off and in this case that's exactly what they did they are beautiful fish seriously don't need to succumb today's conditions. The lady who I was speaking with had no idea what to do there is no filters to keep the water clean and that was just to begin with I didn't go in talking about the red tail sharks one tank there are five in one tank all dead two other tropical fish that where dead as well . The tanks themselves where were filthy had algee growing on the bottom of the tank the woman in the video speaking told me it was about a month the beast tanks have not been cleaned not having algae on the bottom of the tank tells me that was a lie or otherwise she just didn't know. Read moreThe day shift service is actually really good. Its the late night shifts that could use a whole lot of work. Because I often close at my job across the street (get out between 11:30 and midnight), Meijer is the easiest place for me to do my shopping. I have found, however, that employees (and presumably managers) have little care for consumers. For instance, I once saw an employee hit a womans car with shopping carts. When confronted the employee responded to the woman rather rudely, stating that he didn't care and his managers wouldn't either. I find this to be true as he still works there.
As far as personal experience goes, I was once sold a product (ps4 controller) that was used (sold as new) and covered in sticky gunk. When I attempted to exchange it, I was told by a couple of employees that they were out of stock, when an hour previous they had about 6 of each color. I was given a refund and when I returned to the games section, sure enough, there was just as much product as before.
The next thing is more of computer and company error than employee. After work, I decided to do some quick shopping. It took me about 5 minutes to grab my stuff, but about 10 to check out. Every self checkout computer was experiencing issues, and we (the guests in checkout) were informed that only two of the night shift employees were able to run register, which led to a massive (by late night standards) backup.
It will still be my store of choice for late night shopping, out of convenience, but it certainly needs some work (perhaps training from the Meijer off of Beckly because their late shift service...
Read moreI am very disappointed in my visit with Meijer today. :( I went to customer service around 9:15am to return a bike pump and a health care item. Prior to being assisted I stood there for roughly 2 minutes before anyone helped me there was 3 people at customer service one person was doing something behind counter he looked busy and there was 2 middle aged woman talking about life outside work while I wait silently and patiently they didn't say good morning or when let me know that they knew I was standing there that part didn't bother me to much but enough to write in review and when I returned my items I had a receipt for the bike pump got my cash back for that but didn't have a receipt for the health care item and I knew they would put it onto a merchandise card but didn't know they only give me half of what I paid for it back the lady didn't mention that to me I kinda wish she would have because I do have the receipt I found it but didn't have it on me and decided to put it towards my shopping trip I wish she would have communicated better with me.
