Magic Kingdom Ferryboat — Local services in Bay Lake

Background: Planned vacation at Disney World for 5 days. Two adults and one child 10 years of age.

Pros: Above all else pleasant and helpful staff. This could have been slower than the monorail and still I'd have taken it all the time due to the service level and attitude of the staff. Kudos to them all!! In addition to the staff and as others have stated, it ends p being faster than the monorail due to more efficient offloading, less breakdowns. And it smells better and the view is nicer!

Cons: Sometimes the wait to EXIT the park is tiresome as you are usually outside without any cover in makeshift lines. It can get confusing where the different lines (handicap, normal lane, bus lane, etc.) are going. But then if that happens, the top PRO comes in ( a staff member ) and literally saves the day. :-)

Notes: This was not a one-time experience. We visited the Magic Kingdom and needed this transport 11 times out of the 5 days and each time the crew and personnel were 10/10 awesome! And we knew these were different people. But each time, without a hitch, FLAWLESS!

When you come to Magic Kingdom and have to use the public transportation to get from the parking lots to the theme park, use the feet boat atleast once. We were walking up to the ramp the same time I saw a couple walking up to the monorail and they made it to the security check the same time as we did taking the rail vs the boat. The boat service from the Transportation Center Parking Lot to the Magic Kingdom Boat Launch is faster than the monorail. Even if the line is seemingly long long for the ferries, they tend to dissipate much faster than the line to the monorail.

The capacity of the double deck boat is higher per load and it goes straight to the other side of the lake, instead of around the resort with multiple stops on the monorail.
