Read moreBefore our trip we would randomly check certain ride wait times and this ride always had the longest wait. Anywhere from two to three hours. I was determined to ride it since it was new and I had never been on. We stayed at a Disney property for our trip which allowed us to get into Magic Kingdom an hour earlier than the general public. We got up super early and rushed over to get in line for the Mine Train. Even though I did everything possible to be there first there was still an hour long wait at 8 AM. Securing fast passes had been impossible so we bit the bullet and waited knowing the line was only going to get longer from there.
The ride queue has some interactive elements. There was a gem sorting computer type game but the gems didn't drag across the screen. There also spinning gem barrels that project the dwarfs on the ceiling and a gem washing station with carved animals and musical spigots.
The attraction itself is a rather mild roller coaster. It travels outside and then into a cave where you can see gems and the dwarfs. It finishes up at a cottage where you can see a cute scene through the window of Snow White dancing with the dwarfs stacked on top of each other. The old ride that this replaced was called Snow White's Scary Adventures and featured the Queen who does not make an appearance here. I liked the old ride in that it told more of the Snow White story. This was mainly a fun little coaster but I'm not sure it was...

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is Disneyâs most dazzling exercise in queue-based character development. You will have so much time in line, youâll bond with the strangers around you, re-evaluate your life choices, and possibly grow a beard long enough to be cast as the eighth dwarf.
And then⌠the ride happens.
Blink and you'll miss itâliterally. After two hours of winding through a beautifully themed queue where the real star is interactive touchscreens, you're launched into a gorgeously smooth but shockingly short coaster thatâs over in roughly the same amount of time it takes to sneeze.
Donât get me wrong: the animatronics in the mine are stunning. The swinging ride vehicle is a fun touch. And the whistling dwarfs, glittering gems, and final cottage scene are peak Disney detail. Itâs all beautifully doneâlike if Imagineering had a baby with Pinterest.
But for the average 90â120 minute wait? This ride is basically a TikTok. Youâre in, youâre thrilled, and itâs done before you even process what just happened.
Still, five stars. Why? Because it is fun. Itâs smooth, itâs family-friendly, and those singing dwarfs somehow make it all feel worth it in a âDisney mathâ kind of way. Just⌠bring snacks. And possibly a chair.
Ride time: 2 minutes. Queue time: A semester of college. Worth it? Sure. But maybe...
