When I was planning our family trip to magic kingdom I had heard fantasy land was awesome! It didn’t exist when I was young and went to Disney. I had also read about the Be Our Guest restaurant experience there and being a 90s baby that adored beauty and the beast growing up I knew we had to eat there! I had read some mixed reviews and the price tag was a little bit of a shock but Disney never disappoints and it was a splurge day so I wanted to go for it! I booked a 3:35 pm reservation time thinking that we could do some rides first and then have a big meal that was both lunch and dinner. First off I cannot say enough how gorgeous this restaurant is! It looks exactly like the movie down to the tiniest detail! My vintage Disney heart was exploding! There are three gorgeous dining areas. The main dining room is the ballroom complete with chandeliers, cherub ceilings and animated snow falling out the floor to ceiling windows! Completely enchanting. The west wing had the rose and torn pictures and a thunderstorm rumble in the background. Spooky and atmospheric! Finally there is the portrait gallery room which is very elegant and features a beautiful life size music box statute of beast and belle dancing. All the rooms are spectacular and it’s so nice that the wait staff allow you to walk through and take pictures in each section if you want. You really feel like you’ve stepped into the fairytale which in my opinion you can’t put a price on! I had been told the food was just ok, but I really loved my meal ! I got the French onion soup which was some of the best I’ve ever had! The bread came out warm and as a whole baguette with a lovely butter. My husband and I both ordered the filet which was steakhouse worthy and cooked perfectly medium rare. The dessert Trio was not only beautiful but very tasty! The macaroon in particular was fantastic. My kids loved painting their little chip desserts too! Our waitress was an absolute sweetheart and made the experience that much better! Perhaps my only thing was the bathrooms were not very clean but honestly it was so busy that day I know that normally it is propably much better but we went on a Saturday and it was a full house. It is true beast doesn’t stop for photos but I felt like he walked around a ton and he pauses behind chairs and waves so you can grab a quick photo which is sweet! Plus at the end they give you beasts autographs for your kids books. I’ve eaten at the Cinderella castle several times and while that food is excellent I do think the food and atmosphere at be our guest is even better! It’s not a true character meal so if that’s what your looking for it might be better to do Cinderella castle but if you are a nostalgic beauty and the beast fan and a foodie this is the sit down dining Disney restaurant for you! Would save up and do it again! ♥️thank you Disney for the special memory...

Lack of update#1: there have been no attempts to address my concerns.
Great American Fake Unfortunately for this place, their prices and a location increase expectations of the food and overall dining experience. When I pay $70 USD per adult and $37 USD per child per a three course meal (for a total of over $200 for the meal inclusive of tips BUT excluding any extras such as alcoholic beverage) I expect food to be of at least average quality (I do not even expect it to be of excellent quality) and this restaurant failed to meet an average quality expectation as will be further explained below.
Disconnect Between Kitchen and Dining Area Overall our server was nice and professional. All workers in the device department were good and nice and attentive. You can see that they do their best and work hard. However, I believe there is a disconnect between them and the kitchen (probably due to high traffic if people). We waited for about 20 minutes for our french onion soup (lower average quality but eatable) and then another 30-40 mins for our main course (more on that on a second). We realized we had to leave as our children could no longer wait (it was around 9:50pm at that time). I could not find my server for about 15 minutes, so I had to ask a supervisor to find her for me. After she came to our table, she apologized and very quickly checked us out and packed our desert for us in a matter of a few minutes. Overall, I can see that the server was putting an effort. The only one star for this place is earned by people serving the guests.
FOOD The main course was disgusting. You have to really try to screw up grilled beans to keep them raw and undercooked but burn them. The kitchen managed to achieve this. The steak was cold (barely warm). You can see that it has been sitting waiting for service for at least 20 minutes. I took a picture of the sauce it was served with and you can see that the sauce developed a solid top layer, which I poked to show that this sauce has been sitting for so long that it developed this top solid disgusting layer.
It was fun trying to cut this steak which was sliding all over my plate because it had been thrown on top of mashed potato. Oh yeah, mashed potato was so saulty that I could not eat it. I barely managed to finish 2/3 of the steak and some of the veggies (I cut my throat with the bean which was like plastic and quite sharp due to being undercooked) but had to return the rest of my meal. It's impossible to eat a steak, which becomes very cold as soon as you make a first cut.
CONCLUSION I would not have paid over $200 USD for this meal had I known how bad it would have been. Do not waste your time and money. The kitchen stuff and a chef should be fired and replaced with more...
Read moreWe dined at Be Our Guest in 2022. I know it can be a hit or miss with reviews, so here’s ours. We are so quick to leave negative reviews, that I’m making it a point to go back and leave positive reviews as well. We did have a dining reservation. We were a party of four: myself, my husband, 17 yo son, 9 yo daughter. We did not have a wait to be seated at our arrival. Our entire meal was exceptional! We are all steak and potato lovers, which is one of the main reasons we decided to dish out the extra money to dine at the Beasts castle. What an experience it was, starting outside when we were walking up to the castle. It’s Disney, so we KNOW the details matter and are exquisite, but Disney goes above and beyond what is imagined.
This is a 3-course meal.
We all started with the salad for us adults and the fruit plate for the kids, as our body craves fresh food when we are traveling and eating extra sodium due to frequenting restaurants more than we normally do. This was a hit! Delightfully refreshing. It was also a perfect mid day break to sit in the air and decompress a bit.
Our entire party got the filet mignon. Wow, I was a bit nervous due to all the mixed reviews I’ve read (I’ve researched a ton), but I was thrilled that our steaks were cooked to perfection! They were not dry/rubbery or anything of the link. The smashed potatoes and sides were also incredibly delicious. Nothing was over seasoned, which our family struggles with a lot- it was all magical.
Our plates were empty after each course- yes, it was that good & we were that hungry!
The grey stuff is just as everyone has raved about!
We dined in the Rose Gallery. The decor and details in that room alone are out of this world. In the middle is a slowly spinning/dancing Belle & Beast. We sat directly in front of the dancing duo.
We also walked into the dark west wing to check out the rose- ahhh, it’s great!
I knew the expectations when booking this elaborate meal/experience. With that said, I knew that the beast made NO stops on his quick jaunt through the restaurant… buttttttt…. I feel that would be a GREAT improvement for all of us families dropping large amounts of money for this specific dining experience. I know it’s not a ‘character’ meal, but I really hope they make this change. With the restaurant being darker, it’s harder to even get an in-focus photo of the Beast as he is cruising through the rooms. That is really my only suggestion to have made this experience even better.
Our server was a young man, and his services were what you would expect at a restaurant like Be Our Guest.
If we are given the opportunity to return to Disney, I would not hesitate to book this...
