I’ve been coming to Disney for over 30 years. This is the worst they have ever been and it has nothing to do with COVID.
I had a sleeping infant after getting off small world, I did not have a stroller- I asked to go get the stroller and bring it in so the baby could sleep. The woman at the door said yes, I go get the stroller as my family went inside after the mobile order was ready for pickup. I get back to the door- the same woman then says no I cannot bring the stroller in even though I literally just asked. And so I have to go put the stroller back up no where near Pinocchio’s. I get inside and tell the manager who does nothing - expectedly.
Next, we have a party of 10 they seat us at a table for 6 and there is a table for 4 one table down with one of the do not seat tables in between. We split our party because 10 adults cannot fit at a table for 6 no matter how you slice or dice. A worker screams, actual screams- ask the young man worker- at us that we cannot separate and we must share a table due to COVID. We literally will not fit. We are the only group in this corner and there are three non usable tables around the table for 6 and beside the table for 4. After screaming at us, she removes her face shield and goes to complain to the manager herself about us. I watched the entire conversation- she was sent to another room because it was super apparent we as 10 adults and a baby would not freaking fit. Unless you want four people to just stand around - which apparently she wanted. One star- never again. She...
Read moreGreat place to eat – don’t miss the upstairs seating for a quieter break This restaurant is an icon inside FantasyLand directly behind the castle in the Magic Kingdom. Pinocchio Village Haus is a charming quick-service restaurant located right next (and overlooking) the entrance to, “It’s a Small World.” It has a whimsical, storybook feel, fitting for its Pinocchio theme. Mobile ordering is available and I would highly recommended using it, especially during peak mealtimes. Once your order is ready, you’ll be allowed inside to pick up your food from the counter near the main entrance. The menu features familiar American food like flatbreads, chicken strips, and Caesar salads. Seating is mostly indoors, with a few tables outside. The upstairs seating area is often overlooked and provides a quieter place to sit with great views of Fantasyland below. Tables are fairly close together inside, and the main dining room can get loud during busy hours. We ordered several dishes like the flatbread pepperoni pizza, chicken strips and salads. It was very busy at the time we visited but we did find a small table inside. There was plenty of seating outside but inside was packed. The food came out quickly and tasted good. The Cast Members were friendly, and the dining area was somewhat clean and well maintained for as busy as it was. We’ve eaten here several times and always had a good experience. It’s a solid choice for a casual meal while soaking in the fairytale ambiance of the park. Definitely worth a visit if...
Read moreSo my girlfriend and I came here after a big day of the Keys to the Kingdom Tour. Very nice tour; I recommend it. We had some fast passes in the evening, so we needed to kill some time and eat some food. This place is packed, so she stands in line to get the food and I go hunting for a table.
I find one that provides us a great view through glass windows of the loading dock of It's a Small World. I never knew this was there, but I liked it. It's always fun to people watch during a meal. For the rest of the atmosphere, it was pretty typical counter service Disney restaurant. There were pictures of Pinocchio here and there. Not bad. Not great.
As for the food, we want something very light, like a snack, so we order and split something that catches our eye as very unique, the Holiday Festival Flatbread (Flatbread topped with Cranberry Barbecue Sauce, Roasted Turkey, Stuffing, Cheese and drizzled with Gravy). I couldn't not get this. We also got a side of French Fries.
The flatbread was perfect. It was hefty enough to hold the topping, but crispy and airy enough to be a flatbread. As for the toppings, the cranberry barbecue sauce was not as exotic as it sounds. It was good. It was a sweeter barbecue sauce with a twinge of berry added to it. It went well with the turkey and the stuffing. The cheese and gravy spread out everywhere was a good finish to the dish. I can't describe how good this thing was. It was awkwardly good. If it's still...
