This used to be our favorite place to get quick service.. What the heck happened.. First off, if you are disabled, in a wheelchair and in need of seating - beware this is not your place. There is a handicapped roped off space with tables so close that you can barely fit a wheelchair or navigate. There was a CM standing outside the roped area and would come in and wipe the tables , however it was so jam packed that it was so uncomfortable. If you are going to have a handicapped roped off section, then you need to allocate that to those who truly need it. I saw many truly struggling to find seating , and the space was filled with toddler and strollers vs what it was truly needed for. We managed to get a wheelchair in and crammed our family on a half a round table shoved against the wall having to constantly move and help rearrange the room for more wheelchairs trying desperately to find a place to eat.
The food was cold, greasy and inedible as far as the fish goes - it used to be crispy and light - and my personal favorite - the others order the Trio Platter - the shrimp breading was falling off, fish was greasy and luke warm. Lastly , we ordered the chicken platter - which , again , its the same in all QS locations - nothing bad to say - it's chicken tenders and fries.
Trying to navigate to get your utensils , napkins is really a joke as the lines block access. The mobile order line was also very long which is why I think our food sat longer than it needed to.
I miss the quality and uniqueness of this place as it was years ago - it's likely still the best bet in the MK but it's going to be a hard pass from now on based on this last experience. It was over 80.00 for 4 crappy, cold meals in a crowded disorganized space.
We tried to eat outside at the (can't remember the name of the cart space) but our special needs daughter is terrified of birds and the patio area was full of birds harassing diners so it we opted to eat indoors here.
The space is cramped, dated, feels a bit dingy as well and way over priced - can go to long john silvers and get a higher quality less...
Read moreWe go to Walt Disney World 2-3 days a week. We used to love Columbia Harbor House until our most recent visit there. We had not eaten at CHH for a few months so we went there for dinner.
Reluctantly, I ordered the $14.99 lobster roll (with the steamed vegetable instead of house-made chips). I had the lobster roll years ago and it was filling and quite tasty so I decided to forgo the price and try it again. My dinner last night was awful. There was white sauce running everywhere (mayo?) and the flavor of the lobster mix was lacking. All I could taste was onion and whatever the white sauce was.
The lobster mix only covered about 2/3 of the roll. In previous years the bread was nice firm and delicious bread. The roll last night was a small piece of cheap white bread.
I swapped the house-made chips for the steamed vegetable which was green beans. It turned out to be a mix of carrots and green beans which was fine however they are just steamed with no seasoning. They are very boring.
My 4 year old loves the kids tuna sandwich however last night it was so salty she barely ate it. I couldn't even eat it.
My mom wanted to try the seasonal cobbler (blueberry right now) so we ordered one of those. The fork would barely pass through the top of the "cobbler" because it was so hard. I took one bite and thought it was bread pudding. I went back to the counter to make sure they didn't give us the wrong dessert. The guy I spoke with said the didn't have bread pudding and it was definitely the blue berry cobbler. He offered to replace it with a Boston cream pie.
The Boston cream pie was pretty good.
We've eaten at just about all counter service restaurants at Walt Disney World. This one was one of our favorites at one time. Will we eat here again? Probably yes. Will it be anytime soon? Definitely NOT.

Read moreThis was the best quick service restaurant we encountered in the Magic Kingdom. I didn't even have it on my list knowing that my husband isn't into seafood. Surprisingly, we happened to be in the area after visiting the Haunted Mansion. He was hungry, so we found this indoor restaurant with lots of seating. We just walked right up to the register and placed our order. They give you a receipt, and you walk it up to the serving counter. We received our meal within 5 minutes.
What's great about this place is the large amount of seating. They have many different areas divided into rooms. It's kind of like you're eating in a Colonial inn. There's even seats available upstairs. We ordered the chicken strips with fries. Many people were getting the lobster roll. I didn't get it because it looks like the kind that is chilled and mixed with mayo. I prefer it hot & buttered. But, they also have fried shrimp, grilled salmon, sandwiches, and even a New England shrimp boil.
There were 4 big chicken strips that were hot & fresh. I really liked the fries at this restaurant. They are thin, and seasoned well. I couldn't eat the 4th strip. It was so much food. I'm giving it 5 stars because it was the best value we had during our stay. Mind you, I'm not saying that the food was amazing. But it most certainly was a quick & hot meal in a quiet dining area. The meal itself was under $15, not including the bottle of Dasani water. I'd say it's a gem in a sea of county fair food at the...
