Ok first off- I am not one to complain however I feel like I have to help the next parent when they book this experience. Its expensive and shouls be better for the buck. This experience is supposed to be fun. We mapped out day around this experience. My daughter was so excited for this experience. One- Disney put Star Wars princesses in there. They aren't the girly princesses but it doesn't mean they don't belong. And this goes for all of the none dress wearing princesses. My daughter wanted this but they disnt have it. She also wanted two buns and was told no have to go with the hairstyles they have.
Two- wait is terrible. We had to go to two different parks that day for my daughter to be able to do this. We went to Magic Kingdom for this and then to Hollywood Studios. One- the bus service does not start from park to park until 11:30 so we had to take a Uber- which if we didn't we would have missed the Rise to Resistance fast pass that I paid for - for all 3 of us. Which due to the waiting we almost missed it if it wasn't for the Uber Driver.
Now let's talk about the service. Did you know they check for lice? Which I never realized they did. This is our third time here for 2 of my kiddos and thank goodness I don't have to go back. My daughter has a ton of hair and has eczema to top it off. So she has flaky scalp sometimes. The attendant finally brought us to a room and asked to "play with her hair". Then she exits and puts the screen on to the magic mirror. Next my daughter excited - wants to hurry up and get dressed for the magic experience. Then the attendant knocks on the door and starts to open it while my daughter is undressed. I pushed the door closed and helped my daughter get dressed as fast as possible into her street clothes. The attendant comes in with 2 other people- one being a man to check her hair yet again. And you could tell my daughter was very awkward because she kept dancing around and wasn't smiling anymore. Magic gone. Finally they get out- part of me wanted to leave right there- but the other part of me didn't want to ruin this for my nine year old. She was so excited to be a princess. So I got her dressed and we walked into the waiting room to pay and wait - where multiple exciting attendants come in to announce their princesses. My little princess waited for someone to come in and announce her presence. Someone does finally and she says to my daughter- "I thought that was you- " already feeling like they are talking about my daughter's hair - which she doesn't have lice. So keep in mind this is not a cheap experience- I also had to pay for a park hopper for that day and a Uber to give my daughter this experience- regret.
Her hair didn't even stay. The nail polish on the fingers were terrible. Not even the full nail was painted. They were done so quick. My daughter's hair was put in a pony tail that looked like a "Ray from Star Wars" hair do but it was not done right. It poked out and could have been wet to fix it better but the girl doing her hair looked like she didn't want to be there. We didn't even get the Micky Mouse Pin that they put under the hair. And the glitter was not done enough. The pink hair could have been put in there better. It had two Bobby pins to keep it up. I dont have a hair license ans I feel like I could have done it better. We had flyaway by the 2nd hr. To tell you the truth -I did her hair for Magic Kingdom and did a much better job. No flyaways nothing.
The reason we went back was because of the magic you gave her in the first place. Now you take it away. She didn't even want her hair up anymore. She went back to the room and washed her hair. The first time she wanted to keep it up for 3 days.
Disney Do Better :( I feel bad for the child that does have lice. What do you do in that situation? Ruin the magic infront of the child. You should send a disclaimer to the parent when they book.
Sorry Disney I love you but I...
Read moreBeyond disappointing experience!! First of all I want to I want to start with This is not at all a relaxing intimate experience. It is crowded and there is a lot of waiting. We checked in 10 minutes before our appointment and waited about another 15 minutes past our reservation time. Once we got a fairy godmother and were taken back, my daughter had already picked out what dress she wanted. We told the fairy godmother we wanted the sleeping beauty. She was in a 4T. After a while, the fairy godmother came back and explained they did not have a 4T size. With how expensive this experience is and having it be Disney, they need to do better at making sure they have all the sizes available. Another thing I need to add as they do not have bathrooms inside the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. They warn you in the beginning, but if you have a child like mine, they will insist they do not have to go potty and then at the worst times tell you they have to go potty. Which of course happened while we were waiting to get into our fitting room. After rushing past the carousel on the opposite end to let my daughter go to the bathroom, we returned. Still waited longer until getting into a fitting room. After a couple people came in and checked out my daughterâs hair I was pulled to the side by another fairy godmother and she said âyour daughter has a skin condition and we cannot move forward with the hair process, but can continue with the restâ. When I tried to inquire more about what skin condition she could possibly have I was immediately told âwe are not professionals so I cannot say moreâ. As you can understand, I was completely caught off guard. She was completely cold and offer to stop the process and I would get a refund, but obviously I am not going to tell my daughter that she cannot turn into a princess . That would be more heartbreaking than this was already becoming. So they offered no suggestions and what is was and was not willing to point out where they saw this. I also want to add in that I am a single parent and was traveling alone. So at this point i just held back tears and went on with the discounted process (100 as apposed to 200). After getting her changed and frantically going through her hair (i saw NOTHING), we went back out into another room to wait even more. At this point, I was incredibly upset and asked to speak to a manager. I explained to her while holding back tears that I am so confused because I literally do not see anything And now I am just worried. Once again, I was met with a very cold attitude She said âwe are not professionals and cannot give any more detail, but all I can say is it is treatableâ. So you are not professionals, but you were able to tell me that whatever you think my daughter has is treatable?! So again, I continue On with the process. . After more waiting, my daughter is brought into the room where all the other girls are getting their hair done. They proceeded to paint her nails so poorly And sprinkle some fairy dust on her. We got home only a couple days later and the following day I had taken her into her pediatrician. The doctor saw absolutely nothing that would indicate any kind of skin condition. She has a small birthmark on the back of her neck that is all. I cannot believe how incredibly disappointing this experience was. After all the hype and build up, it was truly a heartbreaking experience. Disney needs to get âprofessionalsâ In there Who are actually qualified to make decisions like this. I will say, even if the hair issue did not come up I would never want to do this again. It was cramped and chaotic And lots of waiting. For what they expect people to pay for this, I was Anticipating a lot more of an intimate experience. Next time I will be buying my daughter, her own princess dress and surprising her Doing her own hair. Save yourself the money and the...
Read moreUpon arrival to the boutique we checked in at the front desk. My daughter who is 3 years old was about ready to be taken back to the boutique, but unfortunately went to the bathroom in her diaper. Luckily we were allowed to go up the road to change her in a bathroom a couple minutes away as there is no bathrooms in the boutique. Thankfully when we returned we were out back in the que. As we were called back inside the boutique with the dresses, her fairy godmother sherry helped get her dress and all the accessories and we were told to wait for a dressing room. Unfortunately yet again my daughter filled her diaper bad. I went to the cashier (my receipt says her name was autumn) and asked to use the changing room to change my daughters diaper as we have already picked out her dress and accessories. Blatantly she told me that the changing rooms are for clothing only and no diaper changes. I then responded that she has a full diaper and we are about to do the experience. She told me that we have to use the bathrooms up the road which would result in us having to go through the whole process again. I told her how sad it was that they specifically deal with children that they wouldnât make an accommodation for a toddler with a full #2 diaper. I was absolutely disgusted with the way they handled that situation. If this is disneys policy then it needs to change and be addressed, but if it was the cashiers executive decision, then that needs to be looked at. The only saving grace was our fairy godmother sherry. She was so nice and helpful and took the time to make sure that my daughter got exactly what she wanted. I also wanted to note that Mallory who did my daughters hair was amazing. We couldnât have asked for a better person to do my daughters hair. She made my daughter smile, made her comfortable the whole experience, and did an amazing job. My daughter can be insistent at times and I am shocked she did so well when her hair was being done. Mallory you deserve the highest of compliments and praises and we were blessed to have you a part of our...
