The Velo House — Local services in Bay Village

Don’t waste your time going to any other bicycle shop, and believe me, I’ve been to many different ones over the years. The level of knowledge, the attention to detail, the willingness to search for unique components or parts as needed, and the overall friendliness of the owner and staff is second to none. I’ve had three different bikes serviced here, I’ve purchased a bike, and I bought all sorts of different pieces and parts. I’ve also sent multiple cycling friends here who walk away raving about the shop and the staff. It’s the only bicycle shop I will ever deal with moving forward, and I’ve always left extremely happy with the level of attention to detail and service. Place is nice but is extremely expensive, owner was not friendly at all and seemed like he didn't want to speak to me and it felt like he wanted me to leave. I go up to him and tell him my bike seat is slipping and he claimed the whole seat was broken and needed to be entirely replaced by him. Turns out it was literally just a loose bolt that I tightened and it fixed the issue entirely.

Unfriendly, overpriced service and shady at best diagnostics of your bike.

Edit, went back and they same man who was unfriendly before was very kind and helpful this time. He must have been having a bad day the first time I came in. Explained very well to me what I needed and did not charge me anything. Nice little shop but very very small and limited....

This is my idea of a "DREAM BIKE SHOP". I've been riding nearly 20 years and have more bikes than I deserve. I recently purchased a bike that needed serious help. Michael, the owner, provided that and MORE! He made a dream bike out of something that was really in bad shape! Micheal has excellent communication skills and he is the best bike mechanics I've ever met. He explains what he is doing, why he's doing it, and then he does just what he says! PLUS his prices are reasonable. I live 2 hours away. I've gone there 2 times and I'm already looking forward to...
