Disappointing Experience – This Place Has Changed
This spot used to be a gem, but unfortunately, our recent visit on a Friday afternoon/early evening was incredibly disappointing. We sat at the bar for a drink and appetizer, and were met with an extremely rude bartender—not just to us, but shockingly, to the servers as well. It was uncomfortable to witness and completely unprofessional.
She clearly had a major chip on her shoulder, and despite our efforts to be patient and give her the benefit of the doubt, it became unbearable. I’ve worked as a bartender myself for over 16 years in much busier environments, and I would never treat guests or coworkers the way she did. There’s a certain level of composure and respect that comes with working in hospitality—and if you can’t manage that, you shouldn’t be in the role.
This is supposed to be an upscale establishment in a great area, and we expected better. Her attitude soured the entire experience, which is truly unfortunate because this used to be one of our favorite spots.
I genuinely hope management addresses this issue seriously. Sometimes the right move is letting someone go, especially if they’re actively damaging the atmosphere and reputation of the business. One toxic employee can ruin the entire experience for guests and staff alike.
I don't write many reviews like this but that's how bad it was, unfortunately. It doesn't take much to be kind and maintain your composure. Especially in the world we're living in today.
I hope they make a change...
Read moreShould be zero stars. My rating is not based on food, atmosphere, service.. my review is based on how the owners of this establishment treat people in general. I️ have a lot of experience in the aerospace manufacturing sector earning the masters degree in business.. my teachings my 18 years experience in many different roles has taught me a lesson. A lesson that is common sense. A business and those in management has a responsibility. A responsibility to the community.. How is that achieved? Obviously by satisfying customers.. How is that achieved? Obviously by being loyal to your employees who in turn makes it their mission to please the customer.. money flows through the community and the company earns a profit.. How do the owners of this establishment blindside fire an employee that has been loyal.. A fire paused this establishment for months.. This individual left the job that was temporary to rejoin the team; just to be fired days before Christmas. No write ups no warning, no conscious..
To the owners of this establishment. I️ will tell all I️ know never ever to support your business .
To the owners of this business; you lacked the professionalism and common human decency to even partake in this termination. You had someone else that you would toss away do this for you.
This is not a family establishment as the owners are self absorbed, money hungry and clueless..
I️ will continue in any all methods to express my disdain.
Good Luck and...
Read moreIf you are expecting the same sort of service and food as Amherst menu you will be sadly disappointed. The wings that are on menu are way smaller and more expensive than posted on actual online menu along with all other items. And it is not because COVID-19 like most excuses and the waitress verified that by saying "We just haven't updated the menu in a long time online." I went for my for my birthday dinner and menu was disappointing. The overall experience was disappointing. Waitress was very condescending when we left due to pricing, portions, and menu changes. Also if you have a child and they want rootbeer they will not tell you its bottled and expect you to pay for it. Overall not good experience not at all, we actually left before we even ordered our dinner after the appetizer came out. We didnt even stay to eat. The previous times that I had were great at both locations. I guess I will be visiting the Amherst location in hopes of a better experience. The Amherst and Westlake locations are not both owned by same people. Even though they have similar menus I have found they are completely different. And Amherst does it way better so save yourself the disappointment in Westlake. Go to Amherst it will be worth...
