Probably the worst case of egotistical price gouging I've seen for a thrift store so far. I've been going here for years and occasionally come back. I was here in May and the prices were fair and I don't know if it's due to increased tourism or because of the harvest fest/apple fest but the prices were outrageous when I returned in late September. For example, a raggedy Columbia jacket from the early 2000s which I would in no way describe in a cutesy vintage manner which would normally go for $10 AT MOST at a goodwill or a savers was $46. There were a few other jackets priced around $30 from a similar time range. In comparison, if I were to go to a Duluth thrift store, a brand new donated jacket would at most be $15. Duluth is no stranger for increasing prices either so I think it's a fair comparison. However, this business is pricing like they're plato's closet. This is quite disappointing as I grew up in Bayfield and quite enjoyed going here and supporting a local business, but this is something I cannot support anymore.
Edit: Yes, I did know that this was a place that supported the local area in terms of food shelf and elderly. I had lived here in Bayfield for 20 years before moving and occasionally visit so I'm pretty knowledgeable of the area and the work that is done. And I gladly supported this business...

Their revenue supports non-profits in their very small community. It’s a...
