Apostle Islands National Lakeshore Headquarters — Attraction in Bayfield

Currently closed for renovations, but they have some maps and info outside that you can still park and read. The staff has moved over to The Chamber of Commerce at 42 S Broad St, and they could not have been more helpful. They gave us maps and ideas of things to do for the day while we were visiting. The boats also leave from the marina here, so this temporary location is great. We missed the boats for the day, but did the 4.5mi shore cave hike at Meyers Beach, which was perfect if you're short on time but still want to see...

We stopped by the Apostle Islands National Park Headquartes to get some info on the Apostle Islands. This is worth a stop if you are interested in the Apostle Islands.

They run a 20 minutes video that gave some interesting info on the islands, they also have a park ranger staffing this building who can answer all sorts of questions about booking an excursion out to some of the islands.

It was an interesting stop, you'll probably only spend 30 to 40 minutes here but...

I highly recommend to anyone , young or old , single and families to visit the Apostle's Islands . It's stunning , down to earth country feel , great selection of restaurants and plenty of a things to do such as Grand Apostle's Island Tour, rent sailboats , hike , swim , shop , Ghost Walk ,The Big Top , tour Art Studio's drive to Herbspter Beach and Meyers Beach . Stay at the Pinehurst Inn just outside of Bayfield ....
