The single star is for the fact that a lot of the staff at this location are genuinely caring and very nice BUT this location and infact all Quick Checks have many negative issues that absolutely should not be ignored. I basically give up!!!! Been a loyal customer at this location for over 30 years. At one point their sandwiches were awesome and delicious albeit a bit small. Now they are pathetic and very very expensive for what you are getting. I paid $6.99 for basically nothing. They CAN NOT make a custom made sandwich of ANY kind at ANY time of the day. It no longer matters who is making it as the same thing happens nomatter who is on duty as the manager. This has been an issue for many months and now l have reached the end of this bull krap. Recently, l was there in the morning for the 2/5.00 breakfast sandwich deal. I requested English muffins as the bread and not croissants. They left off the pepper jack cheese and split ONE small egg between two sandwiches!!! Overnight today l bought a custom made steak sandwich that should have had Swiss cheese, organo and deli mustard. It was missing all three. A similar thing happened a few weeks ago at the downtown location where half the things l requested were missing. Since you have to pay before you see the sandwich you have no idea what was left off. If the ingredients are not available when you order they should NOT have options for them on the menu board computer.They used to have hand written signs stating what was not available. If the person making it sees the items are unavailable then we should be told BEFORE we pay for the food and given the opportunity to order something else or eat elsewhere! Time and time again all four Bayonne Quick Check locations have done this to me. This is a small example of fraud. Quick Check is NOT a local business anymore. It's owned by a corporation out-of-state and you can really see how they are cutting back. At this price point l may as well go to a local mom and pop deli and get real food the way l want it not an itty-bitty sandwich that is NOT made the way l want it. I highly doubt that things will go back to the way they used to be. Quick Check carries certain things I need and can't find elsewhere so yes I will be coming back but ONLY for those items and nothing else.The pandemic can be blamed for only so much at this point and inflation does not...

I am a regular at customer at quick check at 53rd street and today Monday July 4 Monday at 9am I ordered my reg, fries extra crispy and the young lady's normally make it but today the young lady that was working behind the counter told the other one she wants it crispy the girl responded by say they come out the way they come out I was soo offended at her response that I left the fries and want to speak to manager about her behavior if people can not work with the public they should not be allowed to work .do not give customers attitudes because without us they would not have a position in the first place .please correct...

The old lady working today 11/30/24 is so miserable very very miserable and that is why one star you either work and be courteous to customers the people that make your check be possible or stay home ! I know is hard to find people to show to work everyday but maybe paying an extra quoter will get someone decent.it is a shame people like that can ruin others happy spirits.
