This park is 96 acres on 3 levels. It has a children's playground that includes summer sprinklers. It is a great walking park and runners make use of it. There is a lake, a basketball court, clean bathrooms, easy parking. There is also a walkway from the park to 440 that traverses the wetlands. The bike path parallels the wooden walkway but doesn't cross it so walking is safe even with children. (You can enter from 440 and park at that side. You cannot drive into the main park from 440.) There is also a quarter mile Track. The park is well maintained and the sports fields have been updated. Your walk along the water is very calming. People practice casting too. Bring your coffee or lunch. Sit in your car and zen out looking at the water. You can set up a blanket and table and spend the day on your own or with family or friends. Or you can watch whatever game is in session. Tennis courts are located across the street (Kennedy...
Read moreThe County did a wonderful job on this park. They spent alot of money on upgrades to the fields and running track. Basketball courts are always in use. The one thing I see is they just can't seem to get the fountains in the pond to work for more than one day. Is this an ongoing problem that can't be fixed. Sort if like the windmill in bayonne that doesn't windmill anymore. Maybe the Democratic Machine in hudson county can dig in their deep pockets and make the fountains work and it would complete the visual part of the park. Other towns have functioning fountains that look wonderful. Oh and one last thing. If ur ever looking for a police officer just walk down to this park they are always parked somewhere, sometimes 3 deep talking to each other. Must be the safest park...

It features breathtaking views of the bay, a peaceful pond, and wide open fields—perfect for all kinds of sports (you could probably play fifteen different ones here!). There’s also fishing and crabbing, a well-kept track and field, a scenic boardwalk, and hills we used for sleigh riding as kids. I even brought my son here when he was small to go sleigh riding—such cherished memories. The walkways are perfect for a relaxing stroll or jog. This spacious park truly has something for everyone and holds a special place...
