China Fun 88 — Restaurant in Bayonne

This place used to have wonderful food, but something must have happened with the cooks there and the past few times that I've ordered and picked up or had delivery, I was VERY DISAPPOINTED. 1)The oil they used to cook the egg rolls and fry the rice seemed to be old and had an odd taste.2) The fried chicken was over fried to the point that it was hard.3)The chicken was opaque and undercooked in the chicken and broccoli, and the pork in the pork with string beans was not sliced as it used to be. It was shredded and grisly. The owners of the restaurant are a lovely family. I'm so sad to see these changes. I've ordered on different days and at different times hoping it was just an "off" day. I'll try going there again in the future in hopes that the food will return to it's former quality. I used to consider this take out the BEST in the area. Sorry that I can no longer...

Very DISSATISFIED AND DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!!!! We’ve been ordering from them for 5 years now since the COVID-19 lockdown I assume they are brought a new cook or things had changed... Just placed an order $40( it’s our min that we usually spend there, always 50-60$), waited for more than an hour( which I totally get it) but received the food literally swimming in oil, it never happened before. We threw our food to the garbage can. They know us very well, always been loyal to them, always given great tips to their teenage son who delivers the food... SO DISAPPOINTED . I always get steamed vegs and shrimp and last 3 times it was covered in oil and didn’t taste good, felt like someone was making it for the first time. Take your money...

So I was looking for something to grab real quick for lunch and I found this spot on Yelp. I decided to try it since it had 4 stars. I walked in and I was not too happy with the look of the place. They are in major need of a makeover. They had a lot of clutter all over the restaurant. I was hoping the food made up for it.

I will say the price of the food was very affordable and the lady that served me was really nice. I ordered my food to go and started to eat in the car. Let's just say the taste was disappointing. I was highly disappointed because I expected more. I won't be back...
