ReStore - Northwest Michigan Habitat for Humanity — Local services in Bear Creek Township

Extremely rude staff and manager. My parents purchased a humidifier from there and after left they realized it was missing pieces. So they took it back, they were told they could not get their money back, because it was their policy. So my parents were forced to buy something else. They purchased a sheet "set", which was wrapped up in plastic wrap. When they got it home they realized the fitted sheet wasn't there, making it useless. I called the store for them and the lady told me she could give them in store credit and asked me to email her their information. I asked if she could make the gift card useable at other habitat stores since my parents lived super far away from there. She never returned my emails, returned my phone calls, or called my parents. I finally got ahold of her 3 week later and she was extremely rude and told me not to call her and when she "got around to it" she would call them. I would never ever recommend anyone go to this store. The managers name is Cindy, she is one of the rudest managers I've ever come across in my life. Will be reporting...

Waited weeks for them to pick up items. Told them what we had to be picked up. A new full roll of carpeting and a solid oak table made by Grand Rapids Furniture. Table is four by ten feet. When they finally came out I was told they do not pick up carpeting. Then I was told the table was to heavy. It would cost you over one thousand for the carpeting and a couple thousand for the table. Do not waste your time supporting this this organization. I waited weeks for them will now list these items for free on Facebook I took this table apart by myself and moved it from city hall to my house. an interior decorator took the table and it is now in a large house on Walloon lake It was sold for over a thousand dollars. The carpeting went to a family that never had carpeting in there...

TLDR; disappointing.

Pros: clean, fairly large, visable from road, staff were busy but seemed nice enough, new store vibe.

Cons: very limited inventory, mostly obviously damaged goods, and prices were INSANE! By "insane" I mean items were priced 4x to 10x any other ReStores I visit.

Honestly this is the only ReStore I've ever been even slightly disappointed with; and I'm really very far beyond "slightly" disappointed. The prices are so high they couldn't ever justify a return trip since nothing will ever be affordable.
