I first contacted them about replacing a built in microwave in May. I was told in the showroom it was impossible and I would have to replace the entire set up; oven, microwave, warming drawer. While having a grill installed, the installer said no, we can totally replace the microwave. So, set up an appointment with the installer to come evaluate, recommend units, etc. Over a month later, never heard back. Called the showroom and they were to "track down" the installer notes. This again took over a month for them to try to understand what was being done. Communication clearly lacking! Unit was finally ordered over 5 months after my initial inquiry. The unit came; was missing the trim kit necessary to install. They had not ordered it. Wait another month; trim kit is in. I receive a notice for Jan. 3 which clearly said "install" so I drove north the night before. Nope. Not being installed for another 10 days. Once that is done they will measure for a custom trim surround and order. I expect by the time this is actually done; it will have taken between 8-9 months! We have a new build and we need everything. Kathy in the Petoskey showroom listened to our needs and wants and suggested the products she felt were the best fit for us.
She showed us anything that caught our eye, but told us why she felt it was or wasn't right for our needs. I never felt pressured or unduly influenced.
We needed a new range right away, before the rest of our order. Kathy prepared our invoice and organized delivery and installation before she left for her vacation.
The staff at the Petoskey location worked together in her absence to get us cooking again.
The fellows who came to install were from the Detroit area. They were covering for the local guy who is recovering from an injury.
We have been very impressed by the professionalism, friendliness, teamwork, knowledge, and kindness everyone we've encountered has demonstrated.
