First off, I don’t live in Beaumont anymore. But if you do or are in the area, this is the comic book store I would recommend. Of all the local non main chained CBS’s this is my favorite. The man working the store, I assume the owner, is very kind and respectful and knowledgeable with his comics. I was lucky enough to stumble upon the store with my brother on a Saturday in 2022 just minutes before closing, he saw me try to go in as he was about to close up shop and let us in. Man, we spent a good 30 minutes in there together, and bought a few things we both really liked. He took care of us then, and when I was back in Beaumont months later I made sure to visit there again. I definitely prefer it to Book Stan. Although Comic Kingdom isn’t too heavy on their newer releases, they have an amazing collection on old vintage 60’s-00’s comics. It’s a spectacle all the rare comics they have there. It’s truly a great store with great service and I can easily recommend it to everyone I know. The man is so nice he even showed me and my sister his collection behind the counter at a convention he was at that same year. I respect this place a lot. Thank you for the...
Read moreScott at Comics Kingdom is wonderful! A true collections enthusiast. They have everything here from comics (Huge arrangement, not my thing), but there's always someone browsing and I haven't ever seen someone leave without buying something. Has all sorts of the collectable figurines and Pokémon stuff too. I go for the sports cards and he always has something that will fit your want from small time collector to avid hit searcher. No matter what size box you are looking for he has it. He even has some of the older unopened hobby boxes and full base sets of all sports. This is one of the rare true collection stores still remaining these days, and Scott is surely a good part of the reason for that.
He will also take time to try and help locate something that you may be interest in buying/pricing but can't locate anywhere. He seems to be willing to purchase individual collector items, but you would need to discuss more on that when you stop in to see him. He's open on Sautrdays too!!!
Definitely give it a stop inside, you won't regret it one bit! He takes card payments as well as cash. I've found some good hits in the boxes I've...
Read moreStop by here on my way back from Lake Charles. Didn't expect much at first but after being very nicely greeted by Scott and having small talk about everything he had in stock, I soon found out that this small brick and motor store had much more than meets the eye. He had a huge collection of comics from modern all the way to vintage 1st appearances etc. He also carried a very respectable amount of both sealed and lose pokemon cards. All for a very fair price. Places like this are unfortunately being overshadowed by greedy mega stores and corporations. It's storefronts like this that actually make hobbies like collecting comics and tcg cards fun and affordable for everyone. You can tell profit is not Scott's main focus. 10/10 service, stock, and knowledge. Would recommend to anyone in the area. 100%...
