I've purchases a variety of shrubs, a tree, and lots of perennial and annual plants and flowers from Greenbrier nurseries, and they've all done well. Some of the shrubs are 3-4 years old now, and are still doing great, even with my lackadaisical care. The staff has always been helpful in suggesting plants that are fairly hardy, will do well in shade or poor soil, or even a plant for my office that won't die if I forget to water it for a few weeks. The prices are varied - some items are more expensive than they'd be at a big box store, while others are less expensive. I think the quality is better, and I've had better luck with plants purchased at Greenbrier Nurseries.
They also have a CSA (community supported agriculture) in the summer that I participate in, and it is an excellent value. The half share provides a ton of fresh produce all summer, with great variety and quality. It is a similar quantity to the share I've given my brother's family as a gift at a CSA in Morgantown, and that one costs about $150 more for the summer.
