Big Lots — Local services in Beckley

I go into the store today looking to buy furniture around 5 o'clock. I young boy comes over and I tell him we are just looking at the moment. When he comes back over he says they only have 4 living room suites in stock. I ask which ones and he points at them. I go look at the leather set that has the electric recliners while he was talking with the person I come in with. When he walks over I ask about the bedroom suites that was in stock. He says hes not sure and would have to look which he never did. And then the person I'm with tells me he said I dont think he can buy the couch and loveseat cause they are 1000 dollars each. I guess he didnt know that I make 20,000+ a month and was there to try and furnish my whole house for me and my daughter with cash. That is definitely the last time I try and shop big lots. I will buy from grands or...

Let me start off by saying I love Big Lots! This store in particular was the 1st time I'd been in there, but would be the last. It was clean and had a lot of nice things, but when we got up to the check out counter the cashier was rude. Bad attitude and had her son/grandson running all around the check out area and behind the counter. Screaming, bumped into us. Then on our way out I put the shopping cart off to the side and that same cashier made a big scene huffing and puffing, grabbed the cart from where I had put it and slammed it into where the rest of the carts were parked. Granted, she could've been having a bad day...but I don't have time for a grown adult to act that way towards me and my 72 yr old mother. Will NEVER go back to that Big...

When we head to town we try to stop here. The shelf's were almost bare ,after a inquiry as to this oddity we were told that this store was soon to under go a complete renovation to include the attached building next door, a closed rave/sports/night club.This will double the size and will start on about 03-25-2020 or when the stock is all sold.As of yesterday you could get a 30% off all merchandise and who could not use an gallon of bleach or some cooking spices or dishes/pots and pans at a good discount. I was informed that this store will be completed on or around 10-25-2020, we think the wait will be well worth it.Bigger...
