I would very much recommend working with Zoya and her team! Zoya tailored both my wedding dresses, I got a used (I also recommend looking for used dresses!) full length gown with lace, beads, several tulle layers, the works, all-in-all a pretty complicated dress. It had a small tear in the tulle, and a little staining on the hem, which was fine because I’m a little shorter than the previous person. Zoya recommended leaving the tear untouched, because repairing it would just make it more obvious. It was such a small tear and such a huge amount of tulle that even knowing it was there it took a solid few minutes to find it. I’m sure nobody noticed.

Also, because this was a used dress, it was on the larger side for me, and Zoya told me it was just about on the edge of what they could actually fit down without compromising the structure of the dress. But they did it! And it looked wonderful and fit perfectly!

Same with my second dress, a shorter one for the reception (i’m not the sort of person who could stand wearing a big dress for a whole day. Also it was 103 degrees). It wasn’t as complicated as the first, but it did have an overlaid portion that made it a bit more complicated. And it fit just as well as the first dress. I think the price was fair, not over or under what I would expect, especially for the first dress since it had so much detail and so many layers.

Words cannot express our gratitude for Zoya. My partner and I brought her two wedding dresses that needed A LOT of work. We had a two month timeline and Zoya absolutely nailed it. We both went in with no idea what adjustments needed to be made and Zoya took one look, made recommendations, and delivered, on a very tight timeline. She made time to see us both separately for several fittings, to make adjustments and make sure everything looked absolutely perfect. She has an amazing eye for design and wow-ed us with the way she was able to identify and then enhance elements of both of our dresses that would help us feel so beautiful.

As a plus-sized bride, Zoya treated with me such respect and kindness. In the past, at other seamstress businesses, I have been made to feel as though I was an inconvenience for being in a bigger body, and as though I was going to be more work for them. Zoya treated me with the utmost respect, and helped identify parts of the dress that could be altered to enhance my features, and make me feel beautiful, without hiding my body.

We will never go to another seamstress again for alterations and currently have a stack of clothes that need to be altered, sitting in the corner of our apartment :) Can't wait to return to Zoya...

WOW, I personally had to write a review on how well Zoya Designs took my wedding dress and made it into the most perfect dress I could have imagined. The dress I bought was very heavy and I was scared of wearing it, but they came up with so many ideas including a band inside of the dress that was genius. On the day my dress was perfect!!! It fit me like a glove and also never slid down. They did everything from tightening and shortening the sleeves, making the dress shorter, making it a slimmer fit, and even using the extra dress material to make my husband a custom pocket square. They were also so very friendly and made me feel so beautiful for every fitting! I can't recommend them enough.
