Homesense — Local services in Bel Air

I didn’t want to have to write this review but if I don’t this kind of customer experience will continue and that is not okay. I will take time to provide feedback and observations based on my most recent visit. I came in to check a return this evening at the Bel Air Homesense location. Upon entering the store it was nice as usual and I went up to counter to discuss a receipt where there was return amount in question. I engaged customer support at the counter who was a nice girl. She then referred me to her manager who wasn’t very professional and could use sensitivity training. She was very loud, borderline confrontational and quite rude when discussing my issue. Other people in store didn’t need to know what my issue was. It was quite off putting to say the lease. Though she was very loud I always kept a low conversational volume. Now Ive experienced pleasant experiences with other managers in that store and they were very understanding but this woman was quite rude and course. I didn’t experience this kind of awkward transaction with other managers at the store in past visits. I haven’t seen her before. She mentioned her name but I will not add it here. I understand there are a lot of customers that come in and out but the store wasn’t busy at the time. The entire experience dealing with her was very disappointing, especially because I spend a lot of money in Homesense. Also I was asking for due diligence. Maybe she was having a bad day, I’m not sure, but that shouldn’t be shared with...

A True Example of Kindness and Dedication I want to give the highest praise and heartfelt thanks to the manager, Dan at Homesense in Bel Air. I had accidentally left my wallet in a shopping cart, and as a mother of four with very limited resources right now, I was absolutely devastated. I assumed the worst, thinking it was gone forever.

But the manager immediately stepped in—not only did he search every cart inside the store, he even checked the carts in the parking lot. He reassured me throughout the entire situation, promising to contact me if it turned up. His kindness alone gave me a glimmer of hope in a moment of panic.

Miraculously, an honest customer found my wallet and returned it to the store. Without hesitation, the manager ran outside to find me—not knowing if I was still there—and personally returned it to me. I was overwhelmed with emotion.

In a time when I’ve been facing more than my fair share of challenges, this one act of integrity and genuine care meant everything to me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Homesense is lucky to have a leader who treats people with such compassion and urgency.

Absolutely love this adorable place! I just got a cute patio set from there for a very reasonable price. I also got really cute laundry baskets. Everyone is super helpful and friendly.
