Update: while waiting for my pizza today, I realized their "we pay our employees well" is "true" in an insidious way. If all they did was make pizza, sure!
But what I witnessed today was two exhausted employees doing both their work and also the work of management.
The mobile order interface stopped working and they had to ask to see my (and every other customer's) phone to see what we ordered. Maintenance of crucial systems like that can't reasonably fall to them, and the result was each of them doing 1.5 jobs but being paid for only 1.
That's the very definition of uncompensated labor.
If the load of your profit-generation is (repeatedly) falling on the shoulders of the guys that make pizza, they deserve to own the company because at this point it would literally crumble without them.
Original review, for posterity:
Please please PLEASE hire more people for this location. This my favorite local pizza place, their selection is really unique. But good grief, I and five other people have been waiting outside for online orders that the website said should have been ready an hour ago.
I've seen before just how understaffed this location can be. This isn't considerate to the customers and it's ESPECIALLY not considerate to the employees that have to endure these kinds of rushes. I hope they're getting paid well for their time.
One of the ladies waiting said "if the pizza wasn't good I wouldn't still be standing here" and I agree, this business deserves commendation for the quality of the food. But that also means that's the only thing keeping them...

I just bought a pizza this evening and while the employees were cutting my pizza. They used an unclean pizza cutter with dried food & sauce. Before they used it, I requested for them to use a clean cutter but one of the employees ignored me and cut my pizza any way.
I was very upset because all of the pizza cutters were filthy from cutting other pizzas and had dried sauce & food. I asked the staff how often do they change the cutters. A lady stated "she was new and didn't know, possibly every 30 minutes."
This is very upsetting to know because that means there is a lot of cross food contamination on the pizza cutters with growing bacteria for thirty minutes.
Since shellfish (ie shrimp) and many other items on their menu are items people are allergic to this is a MAJOR concern!!! It is concerning to use unclean pizza cutters on everyone’s pizza, this is cross contamination and could cause someone to have a severe or life-threatening reaction!
Apart from the cross contamination, some of the employees were very rude at this location. They had attitudes while preparing pizzas and wouldn’t listen to requests.
Please re-train your staff at this location on food preparation and customer service skills. I love &Pizza and have been to several other locations, but this spot needs some work. Especially being fairly...
Read moreOrdered 3 Craft-your-own pizzas. Ingredients were scarce but high quality. Sauce and toppings were not enough for the size of the crust and the entire pie was very overcooked. The crust was burnt in many places as were the toppings. The photos are a little misleading as the flash makes the pizzas look less overcooked than they actually were. We also got an order of garlic knots that were, thankfully, not nearly as overcooked like the pizzas. Overall, the whole oblong shape of the pizza seems like a gimmick as was the menu listing the garlic knots as "gnarlic." This visit was a complete disappointment. Although I gave the food 2 stars, it barely deserved 1 but the quality of the ingredients pulled it up to a 2. Stop burning your pizza, add more of and spread your toppings out to cover more of the crust, I don't like feeling shorted for the money I paid. You have all you need to make 5-star pizza, just...
