Echo Base is one of Orlando Florida's hidden vintage toy gems!!!

I found out this week how close they were to me and I decided to take a trip yesterday, Jan 25th, and was there an hour or more exploring each and every fun looking display.

They have an amazing selection of vintage toys, that is well taken care of and offered to the vintage toy lover for their enjoyment, and purchase.

The toy prices are at market vintage price (which is comparable to Ebay with no shipping costs or waiting), and there are plenty of deals to be found.

Echo Base has a terrific variety of toy lines to explore, admire, and choose from, throughout the store, along with fun art prints, stickers, and Echo Base Merchandise.

The staff was not just nice, but sweet, friendly, and knowledgeable. The owner also took the time to talk to me and he is also quite creative; having created a number of the prints and designs in the shop, along with the life-size de-freezing Han Solo in Carbonite on display at the front of the store. Loved it!

I had an awesome experience and bought a great bunch of vintage toys, that were warmly greeted by their new brother & sister toys in my playroom!

Echo Base is a Great place to get your vintage toy Geek on and I plan on becoming a regular. If only they had a bar in there . . . LOL

Definitely overpriced...Yes they have a lot of neat stuff but all at high ebay prices,for example I collect 1980's Gi Joe, they had a cobra rattler with the box(I assume because the box was sitting near the jet)for $250.00 which might not be a bad price if they where in good shape but the jet was in I would say well played with condition and the box looked like it was ready to fall apart,and that's just one example of there vintage selection,but what really upset me was the purchase I did make.I will admit that I don't follow newer toys very closely but I know they can be a bit pricey so I will take some of the blame for this but I bought the Diamond select Black hole figures (Vincent and Bob two pack and Maximilian) for what I thought was a fair price only to get home and find out later that these sell for around $30.00 a piece but they charged me $115.00 for both and the real kicker was that they where marked down due to damaged packaging.So unless you are someone who is willing to over pay for something you've just got have right now I would definitely...

I think the items in the store are absolutely amazing and cool but the prices are not for the faint of heart. I would hesitate to bring my kids into the store to see stuff, because they would be real disappointed that nothing is affordable for them. Even some of the items which can still be bought in stores are more expensive at Echo Base than with other retailers. I went to the store intending to make a splurge purchase, but couldn't bring myself to pay $10 more for a Super7 action figure than I could have paid at any number of online collectible shops.
