Loved everything about it. The express style service that provides faster service times and no need to wait for a server to cash you out. We got our pizza in less than ten minutes. My only critique is that the pizza was not cut all the way through the crust. I had to cut every slice apart with the butter knife. I am glad that the utinsils were not plastic. I would have been in big trouble. On a second visit I changed my rating from 4 to a 3. Empty and missing shakers on the tables. I had to go to the counter and ask for the pepper shaker to be filled and then it was only half filled and even after that no one came out to fill the shakers. It wasn't even busy. There was no toilet tissue in the restroom. Come on, get one of your employees to stock. Jeesh!!! Ok, going downhill fast. We went on a Friday evening, first mistake. They were a little busy but we only wanted to split a pizza and a salad between two of us. The salad was not the one that we ordered so I took it back to the counter and asked for the one we ordered. It never arrived. We did see them give the salad handed to us by mistake to another guest. Biiiiig time health code violation. When the pizza arrived we asked for our money back for the salad that we didn't get. Thw employee said nothing, walked away ingnoring our request and just like the salad, the refund never arrived until I went back to the counter again to ask for the refund again. The employee was at a loss on what to do. We didn't have an itemized receipt to see what had been rung into the system to see for what item we were actually charged. With a number on our table she could not figure out what our number was. It took two of them to figure it out. The pizza crust had three bubbles from crust not perferated properly. Yes, I know how to cook pizza. Icing in the cake was one restroom was out of order and the other had no hand soap. Another health code violation. Yes, I know about those as well. Also, all empty tables were dirty and no one cleaning them. So to sum it up, with a coupon, one pizza and one soda cost over $22.00, bad service from an unorganized resteraunt and a bubbled pizza. I Had to change your rating to a 1 star. If there were negative stars I would rate with those due to the health code issues. I think that next time we will be choosing a different Italian place. We came back because my wife loves the product. We just paid over $20 for a burnt pizza. Yum yum,...
Read moreOrdered pick-up 1 small mozzarella and ricotta calzone 12” with topping choice of basil pesto, on a Saturday around noon. It wasn’t busy around this time. Stone Fired Pizza is good for dine-in and delivery.
The cashier got my order correct, ready in 10 minutes. She asked if I wanted to make it a combo and if I wanted to put the basil pesto sauce on the side, which was nice to ask.
Stone Fired Pizza’s calzone was my lunch car air freshener while I was driving back home. The calzone was not “small” but large generously filled with delicious mozzarella cheese and ricotta cheese and the mozzarella had “cheese-pull”. When I see the “cheese-pull”, it generally means I know the cheese will be really good. The crust was soft and sprinkled with parmesan, parsley, and I think oregano. The crust was overall good in texture, but I wouldn’t say it really stands out in flavor. I was content though. The pesto definitely had that basil flavor. The side marinara was slightly chunky, fresh and a little sweet, but that’s how I prefer marinara sauce! The calzone also was thoroughly baked hot.
Stone Fired Pizza may be a small restaurant, but my calzone was overall packed with flavor! Definitely would love to try other dishes there. I’m no Italian or pizza/calzone expert, but Stone Fired definitely will be my go-to place to fulfill my cheese-bread-marinara fix.
The only thing that I think could be better was that the cashier could sound a little bit more enthusiastic over the phone and in person. Working at a restaurant may not be the best, but even just a small dose of enthusiasm makes a difference. Won’t take a way a star though just for that reason though because she got my order correct and was mindful on asking me standard...
Read moreI genuinely don’t have one negative thing to say about my experience.
Food: We ordered two personal pizzas one chicken Alfredo and one sausage, ham, and pineapple (yeah I know it’s weird) and they were both delicious! The Alfredo had the prefect balance of sauce/cheese/chicken ratio. The sauce was the prefect blend of creamy garlic yumminess without being overpoweringly heavy. The other pizza was so so yummy! Especially with crushed red peppers. The sausage is truly the star of those three toppings but the combination was just so good. The crust is airy but crisp with the perfect balance of both. We also ordered the mozzarella sticks and my daughter has deemed them the best in Orlando. Additionally, the prices were so reasonable! I can’t think of another pizza place that has these prices but food that is clearly top tier.
Service: We were greeted by a very friendly and helpful woman who also doubled as the order taker and server. She was kind and very helpful. The food was so quick! Seriously we received everything within 10 minutes of ordering and they had a steady flow of business. Another employee, a man with black curly hair, picked up our empty plates and he also was super friendly and welcoming!
Atmosphere: It’s clear the owner and his employees take pride in their business. The restaurant was extremely clean, especially the restrooms and fountain soda areas which often are the most messiest areas of restaurants. Additionally, they have a lovely patio with misters so you can keep cool in the Florida heat. Seriously worth...
