Terrible experience, DO NOT dare to go there if you are a woman and you are good looking. So, I have been going to the jewelry store for several years now. I met this jeweler because my mother was a teacher to his daughter. I kept bringing him my presidential Rolex to be serviced and then the glass broke so I took it to fix. He would tell me that he would return my watch on a specific date and I would either stop by to pick it up or just call to make sure it was ready. Multiple excuses were always given to me. Months and months would go by and there was always an excuse to not have the watch ready. I figured I was fine waiting since it was going to be worth it. The day before yesterday I called to pick up my watch. They told me it was ready. After my work out, I figured I would stop by and pick my watch up. Of course, I was wearing leggings and a workout shirt. I figured I did not have to dress up to go and pay for a service that they offered and agreed to do. As I got there to pick up my watch, The “wife” almost ran immediately to approach me. She does taxes next door. She was staring at me in the most uncomfortable way. I finally got my watch, pay them and left. I asked Mr. Ricky how much would it be for authentication of a Chanel watch since one of my co-workers asked me to ask my jeweler. He told me he would charge me $40.00 and I told him I would let my co-worker know. I left and continued running my errands. On the following day, I received a phone call to harass me. I picked up and it was this woman, the wife. She asked me whether I was going to bring the watch to authenticate. I told her I still did not know if my co-worker was going to accept the price. Right after that, she replied “oh well, I just don’t want you to come to the store anymore!” This came as a surprise for me because I have only been there to conduct business and never have been disrespectful or anything like that. I asked her why and she replied “because I have decided it.” I did not reply anything else and remain educated and professional. I just hung up the phone without saying anything else. I was wondering what the problem was. All of a sudden, I remembered how she approached me when I went to pick up my watch and how she kept staring at me. I then understood that the woman was jealous, and quite honestly very nasty. Any way. Be very careful when you conduct business with these people. Apparently they are unable to respect costumers and especially, the fact that even after they take your money they dare to call you and harass you over my personal phone. I NEVER gave them the trust to socialize or even talk to me of anything other than business. Totally unacceptable. DONT USE...
Read moreQuite white-glove service here! I sent in a Waltham that's about 125 years old after looking around all over town and finding nobody who would even want to touch it. The guy took it, quoted me 10 days, and it was done in precisely 10 days at an affordable $220. It's running like a top now and came back to me in a nice, cushy little box. Now we'll see if I can get another 125 years out of it! If you need real watch work done and not just a battery swap, don't bother looking anywhere else but here. This is the only guy in Ocala that will do it.
ADDENDUM: Around a week or so after the initial repair, the minute hand fell off the dial which to my understanding was not his fault. Being that it was made while Queen Victoria was still on the throne, it had come loose due to either use, age, or both. Either way, he fixed it for me while I waited in the span of 5 minutes at no charge. This guy has a ONE YEAR warranty on his repair jobs and he...
Read moreI brought to Rickey my 100+ year old Waltham pocket watch that recently stopped working. He overhauled the watch at an acceptable price and it works just terrific. He does this work himself and does not mail it to someone else. Thank you Rickey for a job well done! Talented and honest!
I spoke too soon. I had to return the watch 2 times. Each time I found the watch did not operate correctly. Gears jamb and time piece stops. Hundreds of dollars more I invested here and thought he would eventually get it right. Time to...
