Michaels — Local services in Bellingham

I have a love-hate relationship with Michaels. I used to work at a different store but all Michaels are run by the same company and the employees are paid horribly and treated like a number not a person. You don't have to know anything about their products or even about crafting to work there so if you need advice on a specific thing do research before you go. I went in the beginning of Oct for Halloween decorations and they stopped supplying them and were all ready for Christmas! They had leftover stuff but you would've thought it was November 1st with what they had. Also everything I come to this specific store there's one employee at the register and they take forever to ring one person up! I know they can call for backup so please do it! Also I know it was probably because of covid but very limited supply across all departments. Also the prices are marked so high it's ridiculous and of course most coupons are regular priced items but everything is on sale or a name brand so you can't use their coupons. TIP : THEY TAKE ...

I absolutely love this Michael's! I had to pick up balloons and birthday decorations and Party City down the street had just closed! Luckily I remember seeing Michael's advertising for balloons last time I went to Whole Foods and in an email with a $5 rewards voucher!! Make sure to sign up as a rewards member because it really does pay back! The Bellingham Michael's is huge and always so clean! As I was looking for the streamers I asked an employee, Howard whom I later found out is the general manager? (Someone in charge) And Jessica (I think) was my cashier who also helped Howard fill my balloons after checking out the customers behind me because I didn't want them to be waiting on me. I left the store happier, with a smile on my face and my cheeks sore from giggling with those two!

So much on sale right now and I just want to go back to see the cutest things the store is carrying for Easter!!

Horrible customer service! Went and asked for help. 3 people standing around saying they had a "crisis" so no help finding what I needed for no one said hey I will help you. Got a few things on my own. Went to cash out. Rude cashier saying the glue I got wouldn't work. I asked what to do. She replied get hot glue. Didn't tell me where it was or what I needed to do to find it. Yelled at me that I needed to buy a glue gun too. And you know what I didn't bother with her and her rudeness. Got what I wanted and it worked fine.

Need employees that strive to help make their customers happy and return to the store. After 20 yrs in customer service myself, I am appalled at their behavior! I would have been fired if I treated a customer like that especially one that asked...
