We arrived as usual but had our visit (rather, my stay) unfold dramatically differently.
I remain trapped in here, as if made to be a counterpart of Dr. Strange & Dormammu.
Unsuspecting to fate, we thought nothing as ads began to roll. Many of them later and none dared step out for concessions, after all, the movie would soon begin⌠is what I would have loved to say.
The ads had simply served their part as hors dâoeuvres and the meal had just begun. Flurries of trailers soon began. In a devilish, puppeteering manner, they began to alternate the two mediums at us: trailer, ad, trailer, ad, trailer, trailer, ad, trailer, ad!!
My kids, once eager and wide-eyed, slowly matured before my very eyes.
By the fifth car commercial, my eldest had developed a passion for urban planning and vowed to revolutionize public transportation.
By the tenth trailer, my youngest had started an online petition against predatory advertising.
By the time the movie actually started, my children had graduated, moved out, and successfully lobbied for legislation that limits pre-movie ads to a humane length.
I, however, remained in that dark theater, a relic of a bygone era. I write this as a warning under lamplight to any who plan to visit this theater. Itâs probably best you buy, rent, or skip the...
Read moreWent to go see Top Gun on thursday june 2nd. I see that the RPX theater is toted as a more upscale and better experience they even charge a little extra so i assume it will have at the very least reclinung seats. They do not have reclining seats at the RPX theater. They dont even make it clear what showings have the reclining seats. Luckily the manager on scene helped me book a viewing with those seats. 2nd issue was once i got that viewing my seat stopped working when i went to use bathroom and came back. Lastly the bar was not offering any of the cocktails advertised. Only beer and wine was served at the bar the concession stand also advertised a wide array of items which were also not available. All in all this is the last time i will be coming to this theater due to the lack of info regarding the seating and the lack of items advertised only popcorn and drinks were available. Go to AMC or Showcase cinema at least from my experience i always get a reclining seat and they are never out of menu items evem on a busy night. 2 star review is not a 1 star review because the manager on scene who was working with what he had tried his...
Read moreI am a long time customer at regal. And I must say, itâs time for a change. The theatres are worn out and the staff is just lazy with cleaning the theatre now. In my last visit to see the new Spider-Man movie, popcorn was everywhere and there were rappers and gum all over the seat. It looked like the room wasnât even touched by staff. But stuff like this has happened before. Gross theatres are becoming consistent every time I come here. All the rooms smell like piss as well. And the food and drink are way too pricey. Iâve also noticed in these reviews that the owners are only responding to positive reviews and are ignoring the negative ones which I believe speaks volumes about how the theatre is run today. I donât want to have to drive to Foxboro to see a movie but if there wonât be changes made to the sanitation and the overall prices, I might just have to. Itâs a real shame considering I have been a customer for years. Hopefully management actually looks at this and shares this with their team. Because Iâm certainly not the only one who believes this. Something needs to change for this theatre in the...
