Pandolfi's Fine Chocolates — Local services in Bellingham

Out of true dissapointment and sadness I would give Pandolfi's fine chocolates NO STARS but to be fair, I will give them 3 stars as most of their chocolate is tasty, albeit quite pricey. My disappointment comes from a posted sign that my family member saw when visiting and spending a small fortune as they do many times a year (i.e. Lots of gifts). We also have been buying from this store for over 15 years as we live close by. The mean "tone" of the sign is SO HARSH! (I will try to attach a photo) but it says: "Attention Customers... if you have a sensitivity to common items such as nuts, gluten, corn, soy, dairy and eggs, THERE ARE NO SAFE FOODS FOR YOU IN THIS STORE". wow!! Again, the "tone" of the sign is really sad as I'm a parent of 2 young children that have life-threatening tree nut allergies. My children did not choose to be born with such a scary allergy! Nor would I wish the tough decisions and concerns that I have to face on a daily basis "on my worst enemy". I have such fond memories of going to candy shops as a child. This sign almost "screams" that my family is not welcome into this particular candy shop! I don't have a problem with a liability notice but this particular sign was written with anger and ignorance. Furthermore, instead of realizing a huge business opportunity to create a few items free from some allergens, the owners have chosen to make families, like mine, feel even worse. It is such a shame you haven't TRIED TO CARE AND UNDERSTAND. Please say your thank you prayers for having such a blessed and fortunate life. What's next at this shop...?? I am a hairstylist in Florida. I received a box of assorted chocolates the day before Valentine’s Day from a very good client of mine, Lucie Pandolfi. She had it shipped to her from her son’s Chocolate shop in Boston I thought that was very kind and thoughtful of her. At that point I did not realize just how wonderful this gift truly was. I took the box home with the idea of sharing it with my family, however; when I tasted the first candy, I completely forgot to share. Instead I hid the box in my dresser and told no one. These are the best chocolates I have ever had. Better than lindt or Ghirardelli or any other candy shop around and I would know because I am a serious chocoholic. The individual candies are a good size and the candy maker doesn't skimp.they are just the right amount of decadence without being too sweet I love that they ship candy out too. They even wrap the box in cute paper before mailing them. My fav are the champagne truffles, the peanut butter logs and the peanut butter cups. Oh and the yummy and fun Bellingham marshmallows. You can't go wrong with these. They're so good that I know people that travel from NH just to get specific...
