This update is for the sandwiches. Since it was Monday and Lorenzo's was closed, I went here to order Pastrami on dutch crunch. The sign said they were $8.99 and when the counter person asked what kind of cheese I'd like, I said Swiss. He printed the price sticker for $9.99 which read Deli Sandwich and One Side. I asked what side does it come with? He said you ordered cheese, it's on one side of the sandwich, and if I added avocado it would be two sides for $10.99 (he smiled). The sandwich was okay though had way too much mustard and not nearly as much meat as I'd expect at that price. In comparison, Nob Hill's sandwiches are $6.99 and Safeway is $5.49 (both include cheese). Having been to Togos, Lorenzo's, and Little Lucca's I know a proper pastrami, though sorry Lunardi's disappointed, and to be honest, felt scammed with the whole "sandwich and one side" thing. Will be wary of Lunardi's from now on. As for parking, it is plentiful, and the market itself is fine just like other Lunardi's...
Read moreFirst off, in my experience this place has the best and freshest produce you can buy anywhere on the peninsula. Pretty much every fruit or veggie I buy here feels like premium quality. That alone makes it my go-to grocery store.

I love the service at the meat counter and deli. I haven’t tried many of their baked goods because of my diet but they all look incredible. I tried some cannoli just because I was so tempted and it was delicious. They also sell bread from Acme Co here. It’s also a classy place, I’m pretty sure that the men are required to wear a shirt and tie.
This is my favorite grocery store I’ve been to in...
Read more2 days ago my husband bought some ground meat and chicken liver from the store's fresh meat department. Last night I was preparing dinner and opened the chicken liver package. A pungent smell hit my nose. When I checked the other 2 packages - the ground beef had a funny smell, too. As this is not the first time we had nasty surprises with produce from them, I took the meat to the store today, to show them. The only reaction I got was: "if you don't have the receipt I can't help you". I tried to explain that this it's not only about the money (although the price was on each package, with the store label on it). This is our go-to store now as we moved recently in the neighborhood from Redwood Shores. This was a very...
