Update 9/22: Delivery of both appliances is set for 9/24 and I’m pleased so far by house management at the AL Annapolis location worked to make this right.

Update as of 9/8: I was able to speak with Chris, the general manager, and share my experience at their Beltsville location. He was very , open, understanding, and talked me through the concerns I had for the items I wanted to purchase and install. My impression based on this conversation has changed for the better and am hopeful I'll leave as a satisfied customer.

Appliance Land had come recommended by local residents for their service. However, the customer service experience there was off putting and insulting. I appreciate the gentlemen taking time to speak with me about the options, but his demeanor aired on the side of abrasive and condescending. The information about the limitations associated COVID which resulted in limited inventory options was helpful. But when I asked him to clarify something he breezed through, he responded with "you weren't listening." I am visually impaired and have difficulty with hearing when people use the mask, which is something most people find challenging. So speaking more slowly would have been helpful. Wow! I am no longer familiar with this high quality level of service, this Appliance Land team is absolutely amazing! I have ordered my appliances from Lowe’s for 20 years, something has gone drastically wrong with their appliance divisions, we ordered a new Bosch dishwasher from Lowe’s in new Carrollton, three weeks into the order they text me to tell me it will not be available for two more months, that’s right two months after taking my money and my order. I called Appliance Land and spoke to Dennis, within five minutes he took my order and scheduled the install for just a few days later. Dennis was so professional, ask me all the right questions and scheduled the technicians to install. Darrell and Julius arrived, so professional so polite and so efficient. They removed my old dishwasher in my very tightly, cramped kitchen, and installed the new Bosch within an hour. They ran it to make sure it worked perfectly and asked me to inspect it thoroughly. About 6 months ago, I purchased a Speed queen washing machine here. The people who work here are knowledgeable and honest. When I made my purchase after the second visit, there was a different salesman , but he gave the commission to the original salesman. I couldn’t be happier with my decision to purchase the washing machine voted best by women. The two gentlemen I spoke with here also highly recommended Speed queen machines. They were very articulate in telling me the reasons why while pricey, it’s a best buy. While Consumer Reports (CR) gives higher ratings to other brands, it, too, indicates that Speed queen is preferred by women. The machine I purchased less than 5 years ago was rated best overall by CR, and it did not get our clothes clean and often malfunctioned.
