I normally don't write reviews, but I thought this would be helpful to someone else who wants to purchase furniture from this store. I found Gate Furniture via Lauren on Facebook Marketplace. I saw they had a sofa/loveseat combo I really wanted but was out of stock for months with Ashley Furniture who makes this particular brand. After speaking with her, they (Gate Furniture) said they had it in stock. The next day, me and my family went to visit the store and was greeted by Goksel, who was the store owner and another nice lady. The store was not the same as in the photo. I told them why I was there and they took me where the set was. It was in the back storage room. After examining the loveseat I knew I still wanted it. Goksel told me he would order a new loveseat new, that he had the sofa but had to order the large chair and ottoman for me - and that it would take one week for me to get it. Since this was a highly sought after item, I opted to try the Lease to own option, which I haven't done in years since Aarons' Rental if you can think back that far in life (smile). At first it seemed okay going through the application process. I was quickly approved for a lot, but I only wanted the full set. It was slated to be delivered the following Friday. I then began to get emails from Koulify with "different terms and conditions" than what I originally saw. After reviewing it more carefully and talking to my husband we decided to cancel the lease to own and purchase it directly from Gate Furniture. We contacted Koulify and they were able to quickly put in a case, then directed me to visit the store, talk with the manager, put the delivery on hold and ask the store manager to contact customer service to complete the process. Me and the manager had to get an understanding that I still wanted to furniture but not the lease option, and we finally came to an agreement. After he contacted customer service to get confirmation of the lease to own agreement, we purchased the furniture and the manager offered to deliver it the same day today. Within a few hours, the manager and his helper personally delivered all of the pieces to us and ensure we had all of the pieces. I would say that the only reason why I'm giving them 4 stars is that they didn't listen to me when I told them which door to use and instead opted to use a door that was too small. I'm in the middle of a home renovation for that section of the house. Now I have to do some clean up and repair small patches and touch-up paint in a couple of places where they tried to squeeze in the furniture. The second thing was I was told the loveseat would be ordered "new" but it was the same one from the back of the storage room; however the sofa, chair and ottoman appeared to be new. The legs for the loveseat was not new and we can clear see that this sofa was used before. I really wanted this to be brand new like I had asked. He promised to send me new ones and I'll update this review with the outcome of that. The loveseat has the same discrepancies I saw when I visited the store and I have to clean part of the arm and pillow where it became a bit dirty there. Even so, I'm happy with the quality of the furniture. It fits well in my home for the custom decor I'm going for because where the discrepancies are no one can see them. More importantly, I'm happy that the Manager Goksel made it right with the lease situation. I would purchase from them again. My advice to anyone looking to purchase using the Lease to own open is to read, read READ all of the terms and conditions before you do the lease to own. Just don't go by what the owner tells you. If you can purchase it outright do that. Otherwise, you are giving the finance company rights to your account and other things not necessarily disclosed at the time of application. This is not a reflection of Gate Furniture, but a lesson learned I would say. Gate Furniture made it right for my specific situation and I would purchase again from them in the future.

I ordered a 5 bedroom set , couch and love seat combo, 2 accent chairs, glass dinning table and two chairs in mid March to be delivered beginning of April. They moved the delivery twice with no explanation and when they finally did deliver they showed up with missing pieces. No explanatio or heads up given . They just said we will deliver the missing pieces in two weeks and then they just dumped everything inside and stated they dont assemble which is not made explicit in their delivery terms. Meaning you pay them extra just to come dump the furniture in your house! Fast forward two weeks later, they didnt deliver the missing items only to find out that they have cancelled the orders all together with no heads up or explanation prior. Now here is the kicker- when you break up sets the individual price is more so now I'm being charged more for the pieces that they did deliver! After fighting with them and a lot of back and forth was i finally able to get them to reorder my missing pieces and get the original package price. Now to the struggle of delivering the items. They let me know there was a delay with the manufacturer on one of the pieces due to the virus which I u understood and appreciated their letting me know. I was given an estimated delivery timeframes that was moved twice. I had to contact them 2 weeks after their said delivery timeframe expired with no communication on their end whatso ever only to be given a date in 3-5business days. On the day that they were supposed to deliver I called when their arrival window was almost expiring only to be told they will come the next day between 11am-1pm. At 12 noon that day I called only to be told 5-8pm. At 7pm I called only to be told they can come at 10pm or 11am the next day. I had had it up to my ears and insisted I didnt want to deal with them for another day so they delivered at 10pm that night. Now get this, they had offered a lamp for the inconvenience and they did not fulfill that promise either. What a headache...
Read moreDO NOT buy furniture from this store. They have the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. We were told 2-4 weeks for our bedroom set to be delivered. After 4 weeks, we called and the guy said that he would call the warehouse. He then told us that the set would not be in stock for at least another month. Instead of waiting, we just switched to another set that was already in stock. They promised us a lamp for our troubles, which was never delivered. After calling the store numerous times, they said that they would deliver the bedroom set and the drivers would call us. We waited home all day and finally get a call at 6pm saying they would arrive in about two hours. They finally came at 9:30pm. It says on their website that they will not put furniture together due to COVID, but yet none of their delivery people wear masks. After the guys finished bringing everything in, they said they didn't have the chest and that they'd bring it in 1-2 weeks. We had no idea they weren't bringing it. After two more weeks of calling the store almost every day, they finally tell us they will come on one of two days. They never called and the furniture never came. When they finally said they were coming, they cancelled two hours beforehand. The next day they finally came but told us 40min before they arrived, still with no lamp and no masks. If you do not have a flexible schedule, there is no way you will get your furniture delivered. It was like they finally gave in after we called them every single day asking for our product that we had already paid for. If we hadn't called originally, we probably would still be waiting for the first set and they would had never called us themselves telling us that it was delayed.
