Hunan Express — Restaurant in Maryland

Don’t judge a restaurant by its storefront. The Singapore noodles are excellent. Shrimp were large and high quality. Fresh bean sprouts added great texture. The fried dumplings are also very good. Although the dumplings were deep fried instead of pan fried, I was willing to overlook that because the filling was so good. Fresh herbs in the meat made them some of the tastiest dumplings I’ve ever had. Lucky accidental find because the restaurant is next to a 7-Eleven.

Update November 2023. Finally got some Hunan Express for my wife. If you’re shopping at IKEA, the restaurant is just up the road 5 minutes.

My wife said it was the best Moo Shu pork she ever had in her life....

They must have new ownership. Two weeks ago I brought four lunch specials and all of them were half full. Called in an order today and I wanted one order of General tso chicken and one order or shrimp fried rice the lady gave me one order half shrimp fried rice and half general tso chicken with one piece of broccoli and 4 shrimp. Also the egg roll was so greasy they put a paper towel at the bottom to try and soak it up. The lady argued with me and told me it’s what I ordered. I’ve been coming here for years and never had any issues...

Delicious meal! The shrimp toast is heavenly it is flavorful, fluffy, and crunchy! I got the combination egg foo young the egg is light and it has a great amount of fillings, the sauce is flavorful and doesnt taste rushed. The jumbo shrimp general tso is delicious well fried and the sauce is great. We also got the spicy pork dumpling which is great enough to be its own entree. Very satisified with our order and the service we recieved. We would like the spicy options to be even spicier but the flavor...
