So let's get into this... I recently went to this store to purchase a few items for my grandmother using her EBT card. I informed the cashier that I was paying with EBT which she said was fine and changed the method of payment so it wouldn't reflect taxes. (No sales tax on food stamps). After leaving I get to my gran's house and noticed that they still charged 3% sales tax which they charged to her card lowering her available balance. I called to inquire why the tax was charged and was informed by someone that yes they charge tax and yes they are allowed to do so. That's illegal... Especially since they charge it to her EBT card. None of the other retailers do it and Georgetown market down the street doesn't do that. I want everyone to be aware of their illegal practices when using EBT at their store. I'll be reporting the fraud to the state and also sending them proof of what they've done. This is unacceptable and I won't shop there in future. I'll go to Georgetown for honest business.

I was so glad to find goat meat and boniatos!! When I moved from Texas to Middle Georgia (11 months ago,) I was ordering the potatoes online. There is so much at this small, International that I was more than happy to take a nearly 2 hours drive to buy. Although I am used to bigger goat chunks with skin, I did realize that I was not going to a Nigerian food market. Also, I have never been so blessed with such big boniato potatoes!! The Scotch bonnet peppers were also huge and fresh-looking. I wanted to buy some, but did not know when I would be in the mood to cook my spicy goat stew. This store has a large variety for the small size; and customer service was good. I will definitely return, on my future journeys in my new home state.

Love the variety of items at this Guyanese owned and operated international market. They stock a very wide variety of products from all over the Caribbean and the prices are reasonable. They also own the International Roti House restaurant two doors down in the same strip mall.

Thus place was a childhood wonderland for me. It brought back so many memories and I saw items I hadn't seen for years. It was such an amazing experience, I am so eager to go back and spend my money on things of quality and support black business. I'm so happy I decided to go into this...
