So it has been years since I stepped foot into Liz international Roti Shop and I will never make that mistake again.... Today I was feening for a good Roti so I stopped at international Roti House on Covington but when I pulled up the line was out the door and I was like nope (I should have waited). On my way home I remembered that Liz shop was on Covington also. My husband I went in and ordered 2 bone out roti some phalouri, and some drinks (2 guava, 1 Sorrell, 4 soursop). It didn't occur to me then that though I was in a Roti Shop I wasn't smelling no type of curry or seasoning. When we got home I was ready my mouth was watering I just knew this was going to be good. Sad to say on that first bite I thought I had covid because I didn't taste any curry or seasoning. I looked at my husband because I knew I had to have covid.... he bit into his and was like this don't have no taste to it it's bland. The soursop taste like Lemonade, the Sorrell taste like red Kool aid and the guava juice taste like red Kool aid and Lemonade mixed. This was the worst curry I have ever had. And will recommend this place to anyone but later the food hasnāt been the same. Iāve spoke with the guy at the counter and told him that the food hasnāt been the same the chicken taste as if itās been cooked in a pressure cooking instead of a Dutch pot! The roti taste as if they were neaded then frozen, and A/C In a restaurant is a must. The kitchen must be really hot in there and I can imagine the reviews Iāve seen about the roaches it saddens me to say that I can no longer eat here any more. Itās 4 generations of my family that has eaten here. My grandmother my dad me and now my kids. It was a dream of mines when I was a kid to bring my kids here and I have made that dream come through my kids love when itās time to eat at LIZ but unfortunately we can no longer eat here.
