Plenty of parking, easy to find. We had a party of 3, including a 4-year-old, on a Saturday at 12:15. There wasn’t a wait, but being a small place, it was still crowded.

The 4-year-old got applesauce, 2 pancakes, and apple juice. It was more than enough for her. My friend got Flounder Egg Platter with grits and biscuits ($10.99). The portion was huge. The fish was fried so nicely. It had a really nice crunch to it. I got the Veggie Omelet ($8.49) with grits and biscuits. The waitress clarified that I didn’t want meat in the omelet, but there were a few tiny pieces of pork in it, which was disappointing. I didn’t say anything or send it back because there were only a few pieces, so I just picked them out. I’m personally not a huge fan of grits, but they were good. I added cheese to both the omelet and the grits. Both meals came with 2 buttered biscuits each (even though on the menu it just says biscuit, singular), which was a lot of food. We also got 2 pancakes ($3.79) to split. They needed syrup, but they were delicious. We weren’t able to finish the pancakes because it was just so much food.

I came up to the parking lot and knew from the humble exterior that I was in for a delicious treat. Beside the smiles of the attendants, was the smell of memories of a better time; the best way to be greeted! Like walking into my grandmother's kitchen. The smell of years of love mixed with seasoning, laughter and hard work. The chefs are clearly happy to be cooking and it shows in their attitude and in the food. THE FOOOOOOOD!!!! I got the grilled chicken omelet, and the chicken bore the distinct taste of a well seasoned indoor grill! You cannot get this flavor in a new kitchen. The prices are so modest in comparison to the quality, that you leave feeling like you've gotten away with it. It is obvious they ensure the place is clean and everyone has a pleasant dining experience with shining floors and spotless tables and even signs posted imploring the patrons to forego blowing their noses at the table! On January 21, 2021 ; we visited this restaurant and I so happen went in first to be sure how they were handling the sitting for Covid-19. Well when I asked for a particular area all He’ll broke loose with unknowingly our waitress because she wanted us to sit in the middle of the floor at a table already cleaned. I asked again for the table in the corner and let them know we could wait for it to be cleaned off. If anyone knows my husband ; he Is big man and would have been in the pathway to the restaurants register, people passing by Him constantly. Long story short, they cleaned the table and the waitress wouldn’t speak to me yet she spoke to my husband. Never refilled my coffee but everywhere even right by use refilling other customers drinks.
