Benicia Ghost Walk
Very Weak Tour, Because Of The Lack Of Facts And History About The Ghosts In Benicia. A True Waste Of Money!
I was looking forward to the Ghost Walk, but only after 10 minutes the tour started to go down hill. The tour started in a building we were loaned four meters (K2 meters) and dowsing rods, we were told that of ghost presents. The two guides Deborah Hogarty and Serena Desoto didnât seem well prepared with historical facts. They would say something about the history of Benicia then would follow it up with (Iâm not sure if those dates are correct or not). I hope to get some historical facts and history about the ghosts in Benicia.
It felt like two friends bantering back and forth while we the attendees that paid $25 per person to hear their bantering. Not helpful. In particular Serena Desoto was acting very strange by jerking movements throughout the tour. I keep wondering what was happening with her, it was very distracting. Serena seemed to be more interested in telling about her own home and the ghost investigation.
Deborah Hogarty, by herself would have been bad. She seemed to want to be more serious about the tour.
My wife and I came to the tour with three other people, after thirty minutes I wanted to leave somehow but didnât want to abandon our friends to this boring tour. The guards need to have the facts when stating the history of Benicia. More information is needed about the ghosts in Benicia in the tour along with serious guilds. $25 per person isnât cheat so it hasnât to be worth while.
This tour turns out to be a total waste of time as stated in some of the...

MAIN STREET ON FIRST STREET
Benicia Main Street is located at the end First Street near the water. The building stands independently and has the happenings of Benicia inside. They sell Benicia-related trinkets for a small fee, local wine, beautiful local art and photography, and even See's chocolate.
Most significantly, they organize events like the Benicia Ghost Walk, and promote activities like the Benicia Artists Open Studios. They have maps and a knowledgable person working that will answer questions you have. After asking more about the Ghost Walk, we learned that it was a one-time event that drew so much attention they changed to make it reoccuring. We're told it's very popular and not just focused on ghost-hunting, but that it tells a lot of history as well. Sounds awesome!
The small room here is worth stopping in if you've walked all the way down to the water. The building...
