I want to love this place - great selection of meats, cheeses, prepared sides, and bread, however, they need to work on rotating products and ensuring they are selling quality items. I bought fresh goat cheese that once opened had a large spot of mold directly under the label - the best-buy date was 18 days before the date it was purchased. Granted, I should have noticed the date before I bought it, but you really shouldn't have a product sitting on the shelf for 18 days past the best buy date, especially on an item that doesn't have a long shelf life, to begin with. When I discovered this at home my partner mentioned that while he was selecting bread that day, he noticed one bag he went to grab had some spots of mold on it. Henry's is another Vermont classic. It is an old fashioned butcher shop where you can get exactly the cut of meat you are looking for, and many the supermarket butcher never heard of. They also carry the fabulous Nuns of New Skete cheese cakes. They are hard to find and are not cheap but if you deserve a treat pick one up along with your favorite cut of meat.
