Grateful for our experience specifically with dealing with John. Our family member had been taken to a different funeral home and after talking to what seemed like an indifferent here's your price no extra help attitude we decided to have him moved to Mahar funeral home in Bennington. John was a blessing! He went Waaaay above and beyond to help us manage this long distance cremation. He worked with us thru a difficult tense family situation, worked with us on the price, he was very patient and soft spoken and caring thru this whole experience. Our situation took a while to resolve, he was never pushy, never pushed us for money, he was always, "it will workout, it will be fine...." I cannot stress enough the care and concern my family received from The Mahar Funeral Home. Unfortunately I have experienced death a few times and John Mahar was very comforting with a personal yet professional aspect.
