Very unprofessional. Backed out of my wedding after creating a full proposal/contract with only 4 months till the big day...I wish I could be writing a positive review as when I first contacted the Stella team they were sweet and accommodating. We had gone back and forth for about a week and a half to two weeks editing the flower choices and ensuring it matched my wedding vision. I had a full proposal, was set with a deposit, and within less than 24 hours of her confirming we would be ready to get everything locked, she suddenly backed out. While I can appreciate that you do not know how many weddings will book on a certain date, she very much knew how many proposals her company had pending for the same date, and said NOTHING about a risk of losing them as a vendor. Not once was I made aware that while we were working through my colors, cost, and edits to her original choices, that mine was a date with concerns of selling out. Not once, for two weeks of working together did she say, "we have multiple people looking at this date" or "we have multiple pending proposals for your date it may soon no longer be available". The only communication I got was that "everything was great" "sounds good, and let me know if you have any finalized questions or concerns". For a vendor, especially a florist, to back out when there is not ample time to find a replacement is such poor professionalism, awful character, and something I very much hope she does not continue to do to clients. Be warned, if you use Stella, make sure you're ready to be both the customer and the business, and be okay taking on all the communication you would expect from them, including but not limited to is my date available, are there other proposals for my date, do you have any concerns my date will fully book, etc. These are all things I absolutely expected from Shaya as a business person, and instead I was blindsided and backed out on. Save your time and money and utilize a vendor who shows you the communicative and professional respect you deserve, especially when considering vendors for something as important as...
Read moreWe worked with Shaya at Stella Event Design and she was nothing short of amazing! Throughout the planning process she asked for ideas, what I envisioned and if there were any special requests. All of that was taken into consideration and they were even able to accommodate our request for hops and wheat to be included throughout the floral arrangements. We decided, like many 2020 couples, to change our initial wedding plan for safety reasons. We ended moving from a large 250 person gathering in MI to a small, intimate gathering in WI. Shaya worked with us and had the arrangements completed early so we could pick them up 2 days before the event. She recommended some changes for flowers that would last a bit longer and be heartier since we were picking up earlier than day of. Every single item we received looked amazing! Overall working with Stella Event Design was a dream and the products they produce are well...
Read moreI would not recommend this company as your wedding florist. My bouquet was not full, and the flowers were placed oddly. My bridesmaids bouquets were so small, they only had 3 flowers and barely any greenery; this was upsetting given the price I paid. For the bouquets, instead of the flowers being placed next to each other in a regular bouquet fashion, they were all on different levels. This might have been to offset the smallness of the bouquet. Instead of delivering boutonnieres that pin to the persons lapel, they were made to go in the pocket, which was not what I ordered/wanted. The flowers overall were not worth what I paid, and were dry and browning already. I ordered dahlias (which I paid ALOT for), what I received did not look like dahlias at all, and to make it worse most of them weren't bloomed at. The planning was easy, but at the end of the day not worth the product I received. So...
