The price is unbeatable, definitely the cheapest around....
....because it is so old and run down. Yes they have equipment to get in a workout, but it's spread out all around the rec. Seems like a fitness area was an after thought. Treadmills are in the hallway and the abs area has little room if there are more than 2 people in there. Machines are also incredibly old and worn, looks like stuff you'd find at your great uncle's garage sale. No paper towels to wipe down the equipment either, instead they have rags. If you go after 2pm then the rags are soggy and gross (seems like a health violation).
If you're looking for a good gym to go to 3-4 days a week, I wouldn't go here. If you only go once or twice a week and on a budget, this is a good fit. If you get the annual membership, it works out to less than $10/month but you definitely get what...
Read moreI stopped by the Berea recreation center on a day pass to mix things up from my regular workout spots. I was pleasantly surprised to find a wide variety of equipment. My favorite piece of equipment being the synergy 360 system. Not many local gyms and rec centers will have something like that avaliable to it's members. Treadmills, stairmills, ellipticals, bikes among many others for cardio equipment. The weight room while a bit small has more than enough space and equipment to get a good workout in.
The cost of $7 for a day pass is more than reasonable. I enjoyed the layout of the rec center as well. It all flows rather nicely. The staff was extremely kind and helpful as well. I will definitely be back the next time I need a...
Read moreExtremely disgusted and disappointed that no one thought to reserve nursing home parking for people actually trying to visit the nursing home while Live on the Lake is taking place. We were called to come see our grandma immediately by Generations Senior Living as her health is rapidly declining, but we can’t even go in together as a family to see her because there is not a single parking spot open. All spots were taken by people attending the concert. While it’s great to have a community event to spread joy and appreciate art, it’s incredibly inconsiderate to those who are trying to visit their loved one in their final moments at the nursing home. Do better in the future because this is...
