Well maintained courts, and they accept permit applications for non-residents (at higher cost). These used to be my favorite and I loved the reservation system which guaranteed me the court. However, in the past two years it has become increasingly more difficult to get the court. Apparently, Pickleball people have the "backdoor" connection into the township and they block courts in the schedule months in advance, often reserving all lower courts (two of which are meant for dual use) regardless of whether they actually use them or not. When they use the lower courts, they often would use separate halves of two courts rendering them both unavailable for tennis even though they could consolidate on one court and make one full court available. Combine that with high-school using the courts during the spring, the number of slots realistically available is very low. For those few slots left, people would reserve them and then not show up, which defeats the purpose of reservation. A couple of years ago, it was much less crowded.
