Sub zone — Restaurant in Berkeley Heights

On today 4/27/2018- our company ordered from this location. Order was called in and was told that it would be about 30 mins as we are right down the street & it was 1130 am when the order was placed... we order from this place all the time and today I was totally not cool with the events that too place with this order & I called to voice my concern about my order and about the fact that the food arrived cold after over an hour had past since the order was put in. The food arrived at almost 1 pm! When I called Sub Zone to advise them that all the food was cold and that the 3 chili cheese dogs that I ordered were sent with no cheese and sent with cheese strips on the side in a plastic container. I called place the order with Steve and Larry the manager was put on the phone and I advised him of the long delivery time and that all the food was cold and my Chili Cheese dogs that Steve raved about came with no dang blasted cheese??? Another order of a Bacon Cheeseburger was cold & a one of the cheese steaks... cold! Basically, Larry told me that when dealing with delivery that there is no way to get the food there hot "you know what I'm saying" so I replied NO! I don't know what your saying & I don't go into a food delivery with the mind set of OH yeah I feel like paying for cold food today.... nahhh not this foodie here!!! I was totally disenchanted by his response and how he handled the issue by basically saying Oh well we will try again next time... NEXT TIME??? .. wont be one! In this life, we all make mistakes and things happen, but the real test how we COME BACK FROM A MISTAKE!!! & Sub ZONE seems to not care about their customers. There is no other shop like sub zone. As a kid growing up in Scotch Plains the go to sub shop was Dukes Submarines. Nothing has come close to them until I found Sub Zone. Over the years I’ve ordered several party trays for family gatherings and special events. They are the only place I go to for work events and holidays. They are always so accommodating and even help me decide on which party trays to order. The sandwich and wrap trays are incredible and stuffed full with meats and/or vegetables and come with sides. Don't let the "hole in the wall" look fool you. They make the best subs I've ever had, honestly! It's clean and the workers are very friendly. The meats are high quality, except for the roast beef. For some reason it's always fatty and overcooked. The bread is great....not too thick or thin. They also serve hamburgers, chicken fingers and side dishes.
