The love I have for this store and community. So many good snacks and ever changing foods to try, all carefully selected and sourced from brands that have high eco and social standards. As a former member, I remember meeting people who were introducing their new ideas, and BSFC would be one of the first vendors to support and carry their products. It’s a hub of creative energy, empowers students to take part in their food system and build community, and I love that it’s constantly evolving so there’s something new to find in every visit. Accepts EBT, and the staff are the coolest and most caring (speaking as a former one). I learned so much and grew as a person from my time volunteering here. Produce is all organic and there are always fun and interesting items that are not accessible otherwise in the area (think healthy premade meals, bomb beverages, and niche snacks). This store is definitely a community center and you can see it when you walk in and notice the students on shift bonding with peers over fruit, the aux, or the current political affairs.
