This was my first time climbing here and I loved every moment of it! The gym is a bit small, but the setters made very good use of their space. Every climb had something special and I still hadn't tried all of the ones in my grade range by the time I finished my 2-hour session. I'm a smaller climber and I generally felt like I could do the problems without my height or reach being an issue, even if I had to do a few extra moves sometimes. The problems are are labeled with with a color that represents the difficulty of the problem. The categories cover a range of difficulties which encourages climbers to challenge themselves. The other climbers were also great about climbing etiquette and safety which shows that the staff set them up well. Even the newer climbers were mindful about other people on the wall and staying out of people's fall zones. The outdoor patio upstairs is really nice if you want to make a phone call or work on your computer in the fresh air.
Some improvements could be made as well: The holds could use some more brushing. They were on the dirtier side and had a lot of chalk and rubber on them. Some footholds were also quite slippery so be extra careful about your foot placement. The weight and training area is somewhat nonexistent (through no fault of the gym of course) which you should be aware of if you're expecting to do a lot of weight training or workouts off the wall. The air felt a bit chalky too, so it might help to wear a mask while climbing or hanging out in their upstairs lounge area.
Generally, I'd highly recommend this place. It's well worth the price and the location is fantastic. I haven't had this much fun climbing in a while. I'll be...
Read moreI took three of my friends to Mosiac thinking we would have a good time as I have had in the past, but whoever was working the crew today 1/28/24 between 8pm-11pm made it a horrible experience. The employees were making fun of us for trying innovative beta on routes they couldnt even do the first move of, the employees cut us off a few times while we waited clearly and patiently for our turn, told us to "shut up" while we were helping our friend hit a tough send, and were passive-aggressively ruining the atmosphere by blasting obnoxious music such as the Star Wars Theme Song, and other joke songs that they were laughing at - at the expense of all the climbers I was talking to, including my friends. Definitely not returning anytime soon - felt super exclusionary and cagey - never had any experience like this at any gym and we have been climbing for years and have been to gyms all over cali and europe. Honestly surreal how rude they were to us...
Read moreFair warning to newbies, the walls are not set out for you. There were only three routes easily in my skill level and one or two that pushed me. It’s small so I understand but this could use some work. I would love it if they put more love into catering to different skill levels. Especially since there’s no rating system for the routes. You can’t beat the price but without any other facilities and pretty small total area of climbable walls, this doesn’t seem like somewhere I’d recommend for membership for those who are just getting started. This is a very fun place to bring friends for casual climbing but definitely come through early or late to miss the student rush. Facilities are very clean and price is incredibly fair so there are pros and...
