I love pizza and love to try new places all the time. I heard great things about this place and have meant to order from here awhile back. We finally had the chance to order and decided to get an extra large half combo and half curry chicken masala pizza. We also ordered a thing of garlic bread sticks.
I don't know if we ordered on busy bad day, new cook, etc.. but there was a culmination of just bads all around. The first bad was the delivery service through Door Dash was more like Door Dwadle... The delivery took close to an hour to arrive, Even the thermal insulated bag the guy used could not keep the heat in the poor pizza. So by the time it got to our place the pizza was less than lukewarm.. Road kill would have been warmer... The second bad was when we started to eat. The pizza was just close to inedible because it was so salty and dry. The pizza dough was tougher than normal pizza dough with such denseness that it was just a chore to chew through. I think I had better satisfaction chewing on Big League Chew bubble gum that was past it's Best By date. There was something else about the taste of the pizza, some kind of underlying bitterness in the taste... Not too sure if it was like a burnt bitter but it was not very pleasant.
Don't get me wrong, there were some positives in this whole ordeal. The Curry chicken masala toppings were good, when I reheated the pizza, the chicken was passable and had good flavor. The garlic bread stick had good garlicky butter taste too. It's just too bad that the saltiness and the dry dense dough made plus that weird bitterness added to be too much to give this pizza restaurant higher marks. I'll probably try it another time and see if this was a fluke, but for now, it's a...
Read moreThe pizza itself is good. It’s not bad pizza. However I got the butter chicken and the pizza just seemed to be a typical chicken pizza I could get at many places. I didn’t taste any of the “butter chicken” dish flavors.
My biggest issue is that it’s just not worth the price. I was charged an extra $3.50 by ordering on Snackpass plus taxes. It’s unfortunate that they raise prices on an app that’s used almost exclusively by students. I spent $23.69 on their smallest pizza option, which is pretty steep for a meal for one person. If you order in the restaurant, it’s $18 +tax, which is still a little high in my opinion.
I wish they had a personal pizza size option. Because the price for their smallest 10in size is just not worth it for one person.
Overall, i likely won’t...
Read moreCurry Pizza House is a HIDDEN GEM! I have tried all of their specialty pizzas and my absolute favorites are their butter chicken pizza and their achari gobi pizza (cauliflower) which is a great vegetarian option. If you want to try a variety of flavors, I suggest getting the large Half-and-Half and have fun with it. Their wings, chocolate cake, and mango lassi are also total knockouts.
Service is consistently friendly, fast, and the inside of restaurant is always clean. Whatever the owner and the team members are doing, they are doing things to top standards.
Today I got the half butter chicken and half desi bbq chicken for takeout, and per usual, the pizza rarely makes it back home in one piece. Please try them out when you’re...
