We recently worked with Ed Martinez at Terra Outdoor Living, and the experience was nothing short of outstanding! Living on the East Coast, we were initially unsure about working with a designer remotely, but Ed made the process seamless and enjoyable.

He took the time to carefully review our space and measurements and came up with creative ideas that perfectly fit our aesthetic and functional needs. His expertise and attention to detail resulted in a stunning outdoor setup that we couldn’t be happier with.

Ed’s customer service was top-notch. Despite the distance, he communicated clearly, kept us updated throughout the process, and made sure everything was delivered on time. Impressively, everything arrived before Thanksgiving, just as promised, allowing us to enjoy our beautiful new space with family during the holiday.

We were overwhelmed by all the information we were getting online about umbrella size and weight and size of the stand for our outdoor table. We went to Terra and talked to Paul Molina who told us what we needed to know, showed us how the umbrella worked and made some expert suggestions. We bought a beautiful Henna colored 9’ umbrella and a stand that would work and fit under our table. We decided to wait until our table was painted and ready for the umbrella so they put a hold on delivery until then. A month later we called and made an easy appointment for delivery and within a couple of days Terra’s delivery company came and set it all up for us (we paid the white glove fee but it was modest and we needed the help). The whole operation—from sale to our back deck—went as smooth as silk. Moral of the story? Buying from a reputable local company with a knowledgeable salesperson is WAY easier than trying to buy online when you have real questions about a product. We were very impressed with the customer service received from Edward & Brian at Terra's Berkeley store. They provided all the info necessary for our decision to purchase an outdoor dining room set for a deck location. We also purchased a cantilever umbrella to shade it. Unfortunately our calculation of the deck space did not take into account the roof overhang and the umbrella turned out to be too big. When we explained the problem they helped us find a better model in the right size and also advised the most practical location for it. The original umbrella was returned and the new one delivered.
