Seabreeze — Restaurant in Berkeley

I am so sad that customer service has become robotic. The staff use to be friendly and as a customer you felt good. I 've been an excellent customer going at least two times a month for about 15 yrs. I order the same tuna and bacon every time. I 've always paid with my ATM debit card with no issues. Recently,an female owner has been working. So I understand if there are business issues that she is addressing to make it more profitable ..yeah! But somewhere in this change As a customer Id felt hurried,anumber,picked on and filled with a lot of negative tension. The owner's voice is loud and demanding.She has a way of looking at you with a smile but she doesn't seem to see or acknowledge you. For example, a lady who had just paid 46. dollars for crab was asking for more butter..even though the owner grab the butter container..in her sharp voice she was directing another person across the shop. My turn she never did acknowlege my order..just said the crew knew my order after I said it. She is business (good)but no customer service.Just get them in and move them out. At the register, it was the same way. The debit option was gone...I was asked for an ID which I thought was joke. I said I 've been a customer for twenty years and you want a Id Quicklty,the clerk pointed to a sign ..then said 5000 dollars was just lost on a stolen credit card we took(not my business..too much info..an excuse for bad service) This as a good customer was not my fault so now I have to pay. I then asked if this policy was for everyone because at that moment I d felt as if profiling was going on. In a matter of seconds this clerk's whole body language and attitude change negatively. She just gave me a look that made me very uncomfotable.I said ,you are not the owner .. you are only dong your job.This is when she pointed to the female with the loud robotic non customer service oriented Demeanor! I felt she was not doing a good job. This is not an April Fools joke! Luckly,this business has the right location and the food (made by employees that have been there for years with people skills who don't raise their heads anymore) is great! Right now ,the customer service sucks starting at the top. I will not be back as a customer for awhile and especially when the owner works I am going back to make sure the ID policy includes everyone! If there was a negative star Today, that would...

Today 05-02-2021 @ around 1pm it was my first time trying seabreez I came here with my sun, when my sun stepped out the car he was like I don’t wont to try it but anyway continuing on, I wanted to try it out well let’s just say I wished I had listened to my sun. I go in and I order the so-called crab sandwich and a side of frys, the order was waaaayyyy over priced and the food is very cheap! My order came out to be $22.00 for a small bland so-called crab sandwich (which) was made with imitation so-called crab what ever that is and a side of fries let’s be clear the fries these people serve here are 99 cent bag fries you buy out of the grocery store yes literally.

As much as they are over charging people I hope that they are going to one day pay to have their parking lot fixed up so folks want be running over a bunch of rocks and glass

I thought this was going to be a good little diner dive in and drives spot but nope so not worth it.

Me and my sun go out to eat like almost every day and we try out different restaurants, from there after we try them out judging on customer service, looks, appearance, quality, quantity, and most of all taste we make our judgement and immediately write the reviews based on that particular restaurant at that moment. This one here is most definitely a no go for me and my sun, we most definitely will not be returning back.

Wished I’d never ever came here and wasted my energy and funds trying this tasteless place out. Forgot to mention it doesn’t even come with a drink...

Does someone who has been in Berkeley for a long time this is one of like the places I feel is a spot that if you've been in the area this will be a place you're probably going to visit. But ultimately this is a spot where me and my family for like to come for some smoothies or small snack. My mom would rather go here then to a place like Jamba Juice because of just how good it is also the location is great it feels Homey the people are very personable. Especially if they remember you because if they remember you they'll know exactly what you want every time when they see you.

And ultimately the reason why I'm finally leaving a review is quite simply we came to their place right when they were about to start closing just wanting some smoothies and they were able to make us some and they got my mom's order just a little wrong because she didn't want something in her smoothie they went out of their way at their closing time to not only make her one smoothie because she said she wouldn't even be able to completely finish the customary one they're working but another just because she talked about possibly splitting it with my little sister. The people that work there deserve this good review and I hope that they keep thriving.
