Love food lions I feel they are more personal it feels like a small town grocery store I dislike going to Wal-Mart because it is so big . I wish they would improve on there policy on allowing dogs in the grocery store there was no problem at this store but there was at the Delmar Food Lion several times of going to that Food Lion and there was dogs there and I know service dogs are a must for some people but I know a service dog when I see them I know that you can ask if they are a service dog and 95% of the time they will have a coat that says service dog another way you can tell is they are highly trained and mind well they don't jump all over the food like in the produce section that happen the other day at the food lion in Del Mar it was a little Pekingese dog had no markings at all we asked her if it was a service dog and of course with a attitude she said yes I know she was lieing and I was told by the manger at the store all they can do is ask them if it is a service dog if they say yes they have to go buy there word so if I bring my dog in tomorrow at food I will just say it is a service dog and let him be around all the food that we eat. I work for a retail company not only do we ask we ask for the paper work to prove that it is a service dog because what if a person brings in a dog and says it is a service dog and it is not and the dog bites someone and does not have it shoots that...
Read moreThis has got to be the WORST Food Lion I have ever stepped foot in! I absolutely can't stand having to go into this store, and go out of my way to stop at other grocery stores before I get home. Management staff is incredibly rude, regardless of what you ask for help with. The store itself is filthy, and always a mess. We were in the store on a Saturday evening, and they had ONE cashier working... another one was called to open a lane, and you would have thought she'd been asked to saw off her right arm. Total attitude when she announced her lane was open. (There is NO self check at this location - another BIG strike against this store). I would have put back the one item I was buying, if I hadn't really needed it. (I will complete my shopping at OC Food Lion, or Selbyville Food Lion). My advice: save yourself the headache, and steer clear of this location. 2...
Read morePlace is clean, but I would rather go to the walmart not far from this location and pay ⅓ or ½ the price you get charged regardless of having an mvp card. Overall place is good to go if you're in a pinch and just need to get something quick and don't mind paying 2-3x the price it would be at Walmart.
Updated: It's 2025 now, prices are fairly similar to Walmart to a degree. Sometimes you can get soda cheaper when they have sales.
The meat quality is far superior to Walmart's meats so probably stick to this place or a butcher.
I'd assume if the meat quality is better their fresh food/produce is probably far better so maybe get...
