Edit May 21 2019: No change. Still an empty buffet. Had to go without lunch today because aftwr stopping there and waiting for them to fill up the chicken and macaroni, I only had 10 minutea left for my lunch break. No one even bothered to check the buffet the whole time that I waited. 2 empty macaroni and one empty chicken tenders. I will not make the same mistake again. They lost a customer today. I don't do this to be a jerk, but don't want others to go hungry because they only have a half hour lunch like I do. I don't have time to shop around.

I mainly go to Boyers for the lunch buffet, always between 11:45 and 12, but it is really hit and miss. I went there 3 times this week alone, and 2 out of the 3 visits half of the items were empty other than one dried out scoop that no one would take and they apparently weren't going to refill until someone took it.

But, if it is fresh, it's excellent, but it's getting more and more rare. They have their deli staff taking care of the buffet, but I think they are too busy to do an adequate job of it. They benefit from being in a small town because if you don't want Burger King or McDonalds, this is one of the only walk in choices available and maybe that's why they don't care. Them not caring is the only reason I can see that they wouldn't have fresh food ready for 11:30-12 when most people take lunch. As soon as I find an alternative I will probably stop going there.

The store itself is great. Good prices, decent selection, excellent staff who are friendly and helpful. Other than the deli who seem put off if you ask them to refill the lunch buffet so much so that I don't bother asking anymore. It's always a sigh and a "five minutes and it...

I go there for there great meat products, especially chicken legs. They are so good and the price is good too. I also picked up cat food which is cheaper than my regular grocery store. They have the pretzels I crave. Great value for the money. On Tuesday, senior citizens get 5% savings off their bill. And if you bring your own bag, 3 cents is deducted from your bill. I also present a card that earns my friend's church money from my purchases. Better stocked today Today 12/20 I didn't buy anything. They didn't have the size of the item I wanted. Today 3/7 I got a few items cheaper than my regular store and 2 items my regular store doesn't have in the size I wanted. Very clean store. Friendly employees 5/9/2024 got a few items that I didn't know was on sale. Went for cheese which I got. They substituted one item I wanted and I'm not happy with that brand. Wonderful prices. You would never see a small help yourself frozen shrimp here in CT. Just about all the people would be sampling frozen shrimp! So nice to see big rings of sweet and hot sausage. Ring bologna, cheese, hot and garlic, MMM. Middlesworth potato chips. The best BBQ chips. Never changed there taste since I was a small kid. Others have. The weekender is a great size.
