I am part of the Trade and brought in Closet Factory and a second company to compare on a recent project. While I enjoyed the consultation, design and personality much more with the other company, I thought the Closet Factory had a better product and ultimately we decided to move forward with CF. It turns out that while the product may have been better, there was an absolute absence of care for the product that the first installer had. I shared the photos of the damages and was told they would offer $250 refund. I advised they can do that as well as replace the pieces but they agreed to touch them up first to see how it looked. The installer canceled the day of the repair (due to what I was told was an illness) and we were rescheduled for 3-5pm on a Saturday in which I had to stay at the property waiting for him to never show up. When I inquired, they found out he let himself into the property, which is trespassing by definition, 5 hours before his scheduled time. The touchups looked terrible and were not an appropriate fix for the amount of money the client had spent. I also had wasted 2 hours of my time in which the clients were billed for. I again requested for someone to come out to the property to take inventory of what pieces were needed, I was simply scheduled for the re-install. When the new installer arrived he did not have all of the pieces he needed, further aggravating the situation. While this installer was good at his job and handled the product with care, again the franchise showed no regard to anyones time as he was there even longer than expected waiting for pieces to be delivered. Once it was finally completed I followed up on the $250 refund, which at this point doesn't even cover the amount of hours I had to charge the client for me to be on site, they denied they ever offered it. I asked to speak with the franchise owner as the office continued to be completely unhelpful and as the franchise owner was out on vacation and left a voicemail advising to call back if it was an emergency, I was kind enough to wait for them to return to follow up. She never reached out and when I inquired with the office they tried to blame me for not calling her back. They still have not refunded my client the $250 that is meant to offset the various issues.
As a fellow professional and business owner, I am appalled by the lack of effective communication, respect, and professionalism the Bethel location has shown. I genuinely have no option but to steer clear of Closet Factory after this experience in which I gave them countless opportunities to...
Read moreExperience started out with an email to Closet Factory and a VERY fast turnaround. Shortly after first making contact, the lovely Juliet Blair come to our home and made the entire process super easy. Juliet provided both my husband and I with awesome ideas and she was beyond thorough. The individuals you speak to on the phone (Chloe/Patty) were also pleasant and communicated very well. We were hopeful the closet would have been installed sooner but we completely understand how busy things are still in the times of COVID. Our appointment with Juliet was in May and we had our closet installed on July 5th by Manny. We did get a call around 8:15 this morning of and Manny let us know he was 30 minutes out. When he first arrived, he was wearing a mask which was very much appreciated and we asked him to put on booties as we recently had carpet installed and new flooring. Manny was a gentleman and for the most part abided by what we asked. My husband and I assumed it would be more than one person but Manny was the sole guy on the job. Manny asked us questions numerous times and kept us in the loop, which was very much appreciated. Unfortunately, our home has a steep driveway and a lot of steps so we felt bad Manny had to run up and down the stairs numerous times. One shorfall was Manny did remove his masks when going up and down the stairs. As we are expecting and I am not vaccinated, I would have definitely appreciated Manny wearing a mask the entire time. Also, the booties we asked Manny to put on, there were times when he walked all the way outside with the booties and then inside. (Pretty much defeats the purpose of wearing booties). At the very end of the installation, Manny did clean up outside, however, he threw the sand and remnants onto our side yard where we have rocks/plants. Some of the material from the cutting was also left behind but not a huge deal. We are to this day still finding pieces of board but it could have been a lot worse. Overall, closet factory is reasonable (when you do things the right way) and we enjoyed our experience. We've never had SO much room in our master closet and we truly wanted to...
Read moreWe recently purchased a new home and wanted to maximise the space of the small walk in closet. I did some research online and found Closet Factory. My designer came to my house fully prepared with samples of literally everything. As some one who had never given this much thought she was a great resource and we ended up with more than just a closet. Prices are reasonable for something like this and in fact I chose Closet factory as I was able to get more upgrades for my closet compared to a quote from California Closets. On thing to note the designers do offer an on the spot deal at the time of first visit and one can feel some what pressured if you are awaiting other quotes so I would suggest scheduling other options prior to Closet Factory to avoid that feeling. Once I told my designer I needed time to think and did not want to feel pressured into a decision she was respectful of that and we had a lovely working relationship after. The home office was incredible also as we ended up moving earlier than planned and they were able to move forward our installation date so we could unpack into our new closet. The installation team was also incredible. After they left I noticed some chipping on two shelves and contacted them and a repair team is already scheduled to come out to fix the issue. I would 100% recommend Closet factory and would definitely...
